Met gazed at a tiny groove in the rock across from them. How odd. He had always lived with this silence, only to grow to hate it.
Met gazed at a tiny groove in the rock across from them. How odd. He had always lived with this silence, only to grow to hate it.
Max crossed his legs, the silence somehow nagging at him now. He sighed and tried to ignore it which was impossible.
Met picked up a tiny pebble from under one of his hands. He showed it to Max, grinning faintly. Then he threw it, which send wonderful ASMR (honestly I couldn’t think of another word to describe it) clicks through their quiet scene.
Max chuckled and smiled back, “That sounded nice.” He whispered.
Met nodded in agreement, picking up another and throwing it. It clicked softly off of the wall and fell this time.
Max sighed somewhat contento y, finding his own pebble and throwing it too. It clicked and he giggled.
Met smiled wider at Max’s giggles, grabbing up a larger pebble and tossing it. It clicked louder than the last few.
“That one sounded the best so far.” He said quietly, palming another small rock.
Met nodded and looked for another rock. He lifted one up, it was fist-sized, and tossed it down. It clattered down.
Max pulled a face, "Nope, didn't like that one."
Met frowned a little. He had quite liked it. Nevertheless, he picked up another tiny one and tossed it.
"You can toss bigger ones if you like them," Although Max smiled at the little rock,.
Met shook his head, tossing another tiny one. He liked to see Max smile. It was a nice, broad one that made him feel warm.
Max frowned for a second but it was soon gone when the small rock was thrown. He didn’t mind the bigger rocks, but the small ones were more gentle and the sound was softer.
Met grabbed a few rocks and tossed them this time. Their collective noises lasted much longer than one as they fell.
“Wow…” Now that sounded amazing.
Met flashed a bigger smile and took up more pebbles, throwing them in. This earned the same affect.
Max beamed at the sound, a small giggle slipping too.
Met glanced at Max, smiling. He picked up more pebbles, then tossed them down, just to hear his giggle again.
Max watched as the pebbles fell, giggling like a girl as he did so.
Met laughed softly into his hand. He picked up more pebbles and tossed them.
Max continued to watch the rocks fall for a few moments. He turned to Met a few moments later and smiled.
Met glanced shyly at him from under his locks of black hair, smiling back. Max made him feel young and happy, unlike how he had been for the past few days.
Max’s smile grew a little when Met smiled and some part of him wished he would smile more often. He turned back to the valley, taking in the greens, red and yellows if the tree leaves.
(So how’d you wanna spice this up?)
