A lost couple stands by the lake. The moonlight sparkles off the rushing waves as the two figures stare across at each other, trying to make out if it were an illusion or a real person. The pair came out every night, watching the other, until one left back for their lonely cottage. The lake was much too big to trek across or around, and swimming across it seemed impossible.

Idk
I’m kinda bored, so… yeah. Join. Ples.
pops head in Uh… may I? Or no?
Yw! So, I had the perfect little bean for this RP ~^~
However I was thinking of like, an older couple? (So there’d definitely be some Magic bc my character is immortal(ish) so…)
Okay, cools. How old are we talking?
Hmm I’ma take it down a lot and give it a few hundred years. (Canonically it’s a loooot larger so)
Yep. Do you wanna do character templates? Or just hop in?
We can just hop in. But quick question, do you mind what gender I rp as?
No I do not. My character is male, so go ahead and have your pick.
Alright let me write something up!
(Just a reminder this is set in our current time/a bit in the future. If you have a question about the tech just ask!)
Day 194…
I’m still here… by myself. But I have most recently come across someone across the lake.
I think it’s just my mind playing tricks on me again. I plan to try and walk around… but the circumference is far too large. I could swim…
Shaking out his hair in frustration, the thick black locks falling over the paper, wooded desk and his pale cheeks, a tall, skinny male resumed a forced posture. His back would start to ache if he didn’t. Maybe he could use the swim… after all, it’d be a good sorce of exercise, instead of pacinf around his room.
(Okay, cool cool)
One the other side of the lake, laying down in the soft green grass, a chestnut brown haired man stared up at the sky with his pine green eyes and watched the clouds drift lazily through the baby blue sky.
Bird watching became boring after a while, and so did trying to make pictures out of clouds but he had nothing else to do out here. It was his fault for wanting to come out here in the first place so he only had himself to blame.
The tall man rose from his seat. He crossed his far too cramped home to the window, who was letting in faint peeks of sunlight into the cottage. The sunlight danced kn the man’s sullen cheeks and fine details. It sparkled in his sharp, icy blue eyes. He sighed deeply, reaching under the shades and pulling up the window. If he was here for an investigation, he might as well make it pleasurable. He turned from the window and started pacing.
The man rolled onto his stomach, resting his head on his elbows as he watched a squirrel climb up a near by tree and he wondered what it would be like to be that small. Then again, he himself was small for his age but he couldn't stop his mind from wondering aimlessly with the lack of things to do. He curled his toes in the grass, just listening to the sounds around him, relaxing him and putting him at ease just a little.
He paused, sighing and inhaling the new, fresh air from outside. Maybe he should take a break and enjoy the sunlight. He ever only walked at night to avoid the heat and bugs. Chewing on his lips, he shucked off his comfy clothing of a gray sweater and sweatpants and replaced them with a rather baggy pair of jeans and a tee. He could be himself out here, not afraid of his scars or tattoos.
The guy sighed deeply and stood up, stretching out his back lazily before looking up at the sky once more. Did he want to go back inside or stay outside where he felt more comfortable for a little longer? He was hungry, but it could wait if it meant feeling more at home. He scanned the edge of the lake, the small reeds that popped up and the faint shadow of fish swimming around.
The man unfolded himself from his home, ducking under the threshold and stepping out into the sun. His black hair immediately began to warm as he wandered, finding a nice rock near the lake shore to lounge on. It was even in the shade. How nice… He settled on it with a comfy sigh.
