(Not that I'm joining this, but I'll go back to the one on one we were doing because my brain could not seem to know how to respond but I'm in a writing mood)

YOU’D BETTER
unless you wanna do an adoption story?
(… I legit just made a character perfect for that omg)
gASP LET US ADOPTION STORY
LET ME GRAB THE PROMPT
This is kinda like my RP with little smol Jace, if any of you remember my desperate attempts to get that started. But! A few people dropped it because it became too stressful. So! I decided! That I would do a normal adoption. The catch? It’s a teenage boy, with yes, schizophrenia. He (but no one except him knows) was sexually abused as a toddler and tween. These actions were figured out by thr CPS and they stripped him from the home, into a local orphanage. He was cared for rather well, but he was never liked by visiting couples because of his frightened exposition of women (it’s just how he is, bro). So I’d like this to be a nice Mother or Father-Son RP. NOT A SHIPPING RP!
I dunno I just kinda want an orphan-new parent story because I find it so adorable and fluffy.
Same, but the character I just made is a small child. I'll use another adult character I suppose because the fluff will exist both ways ehehe
Eheheheeeeee
So do you just wanna jump right in?
Ehehe yes
I'm thinking of a father-son thing because my female characters are more rebellious than anything lol
Yas sounds good.
(Who's starting?)
I can go grab a starttttt…
(Up to you since I don't mind either way)
“He” woke up that morning, gazing idly up at the ceiling. He sat up slowly, his tall, skinny body aching all over. Like the aches he got literally all the time. He sighed at his legs, which were hanging over the bed. No wonder I’m aching, He thought for the umpteenth time, I’m growing out of my bed.
A little bell rang, signaling for breakfast. He rose, stretched out his shoulders, then skulked out of his room. Next to his nameplate, was a little stickynote, Good luck in Vistor’s Hour, Met! I know you’ll do very well!
Met sighed and grabbed the note off of the nameplate, then shoved it into his sweatpant’s pocket. He doubted he’d do well. Who needed a sixteen year old orphan?
Andre Rush was a man who wasn't the type to have a single mean bone in his body. At least intentionally. Having been deep in thought about this for awhile, he missed having company around his lonely apartment. He wasn't yet married, nor dating anyone. It was all up to time to decide, not mattering if it was a woman or a man. Both were good options. Already having breakfast, he made his way towards the nearby orphanage. After checking online, their visiting hour would be fairly close by the time he arrived. Andre was fairly tall, black as well so most younger kids weren't exactly fond of him due to his massive height at 6'1.
Walking in the door, there were others already waiting for their chance to adopt a new family member. It broke his heart that all of the kids here were either from bad homes or from families that couldn't care for them. Taking a seat as well, he waited.
Met was a gangly teen at a towering 6’3, and possibly taller. Little kids nicknamed him ‘The Friendly Giant’ because he always let the kids hold his large hands when they were upset. They liked to mess with his soft, long, black hair and giggle at his meek jokes. He wasn’t a blight on the orphanage, almost everyone liked him, he’s been there so long. Though, Met always removed himself, as he did today. He skipped breakfast and went to go wait in the visitor’s room. He sunk into a chair with a deep sigh of relief.
Andre noticed a young man who seemed taller than even he was. A pang of hurt blossomed in his chest. How long had this boy been here then to be at his full height already? He kept his usual warm smile spread on his lips. Hopefully each of the kids who were needing this chance the most got the loving families they deserved.
Met rubbed his face and half-closed his eyes. He was unaware of the man watching him, and was more intent on getting more sleep in a comfortable chair. His legs soon stopped aching and he relaxed slowly again.
(So how are you imagining this going?)
(Well it’s an adoption story… xD)
(No I meant the room, is it just go up to kids and talk to them or is there a certain thing that happens before that? XD)
(They let the kids go into the room, and interact with the adults, ya.)
(Alright then, that helps with my response.)
A few of the younger kids seemed to drift off towards the other adults, one or two coming up to Andre. When talking to them, they mentioned that his height reminded them of "the friendly giant." Chuckling at this, he inquired if they meant that movie that had been advertised last year by a similar name.
"Nope! It's him over there!" a little boy said, pointing over to the lanky boy from before, relaxing in his chair, not yet moved from his spot. Thanking them, the little ones ran off to join the other kids. Seeing as no one was making a single attempt to talk to the taller teen, Andre stood and made his way over to a spot beside him.
"Mind if I sit here?" he asked, voice deep and smooth in tone.
Met glanced over. His shaggy black hair hid his eyes, but they rounded slightly in fear.
“Er… sure. Go ahead.” His voice was also rather deep, but it was high pitched in fear. He didn’t like to talk to those he didn’t like.
Taking the seat beside him, he turned to the boy beside him. He surely was handsome for his age, but seemed very closed off to any adult.
"If you'd like me to leave you be, I won't be offended. It's not simple to open yourself up to a stranger is what I mean," Andre offered with a light chuckle.
