Alizar studied the ring, before slipping it onto one of his fingers, on the left hand. He looked backwards to see a tower, and upon it was a clock. 11:55 AM. It was nearly time to return to HQ, he noted, before putting his hands in his pockets, and walking off.

The spirit took a while to calm down, but within the ring, it seemed empty. Bland, rather. Daevi did not have enough energy to personalize it either. So the wisp would have to see what this odd human had in stock for it.

Arriving back at camp; which was outside of town; just roughly set up. Trailers, tents, you name it. Dire Corps. A bit of an odd name, but that was what Alizar belonged to. At first glance, Alizar seemed like one of their soldiers. At second glance, maybe you'd see Alizar as a weakling. Cautious, and not one to take lead. However, Alizar was a valued member in there just for that. At the rare third glance, Alizar would be the one being you, holding a knife, ready to take you out. It was for Alizar's talking skills and unique way to get people to trust him is why he was so valued.
With the ring on his hand, he walked towards one of the tents. To a woman by the name of Doreta. When Alizar was finished a mission, or ready to take one up, he was to report to her. Alizar was wary of her though. Doreta was smart. Intelligent. Did she know of his abilities?
"Ma'am?" He called out.
"Come in."
With a slight bow of the head, Alizar entered, viewing the tall woman, who was turned around at the time. She had longish black hair, and it seemed to be down right now.
"Sit."
Alizar looked around, and took a seat at her desk.
"Alizar, you have served the Dire Corps to the best of your ability. Is that correct?"
"Yes, that is correct ma'am." What is she trying to get at?
"That's good. We have decided that you are ready. Think of this as a promotion. Or a test, before a promotion at least."
A test? "Ma'am, what do you mean?"
Doreta turned around. She had pale skin; and her eyes were not visible, due to the bandages she wore over her face. A chilling detail to her appearance. No one knew what happened to her eyes. "You are to be sent with Samir, Jakims, Abril, Ere, and Rene to Colis. For a test, rather. I have briefed all of the others earlier."
"..What is the mission about, ma'am?"
"Others will be there. Think of it as an extreme game of capture the flag. The details will be said when you get there. Do you understand?"
An extreme game of capture the flag? "Yes ma'am, I.." He paused, seeing Doreta stare at his ring with interest. Or maybe not. He couldn't see her eyes. "..understand. May I leave?"
She broke out of her trance. "Yes, Alizar. You may leave and prepare. You leave early tomorrow."
Alizar nodded, getting out of his seat to leave.

Daevi felt unsettled. They heard some of the human's thoughts, but there was something else nearby. A predator, and it wanted to hunt Daevi. It knew Daevi was around, but it didn't know Daevi was in the ring for sure. Daevi decided, if they could hear the human's thoughts, maybe Daevi could send thoughts to the human? What was that?

Alizar was a bit surprised when the spirit spoke to him. Doreta, he said. Human stuff. He retired to his tent for the night. He didn't feel safe leaving the ring out in the open, especially with that interaction from Doreta, so he put the ring under the pillow instead. He got ready for bed.

(time skip for the night?)

The sun was not up when Alizar decided to get up for the morning, as he did for the previous nights. He dedicated this time to getting himself ready, completely forgetting about the ring under the pillow for the time being.

Daevi did not expect there to be energy sources. Certain people would probably wake up to unexpected surprises, such as lights not working, or flashlights flickering. Indeed, the camp would probably need some new batteries and lights. Daevi could break free from this ring! And so, it did, coming out to view the human in interest. Daevi was larger, and less wispy now. Instead, it was still see-through, but had more of a physical form if anything. The colouring of the spirit was dark purple; and so it sat on the bed, waiting for whatever.
