He sat there calming down a little.
He sat there calming down a little.
After a minute, Bridget pulled away, her hands still cupping his face. "Are… Are you okay?" she asked tentatively.
"B-Better," he said coughing a little
She blushed furiously. "I-I'm sorry… I read once that holding your breath can help you stop coughing… I'm sorry…"
"I-It's ok…"
She looked at him with wide eyes. "But, you're really okay?"
He nods. "Just sleepy…"
"You should lay down then," she told him.
"Y-Yeah…"
She slowly guided him down and laid his head on the pillow. "There," she whispered. "Now, sleep."
He nods smiling weakly at her.
"Sleep," she said again, gently stroking his hair.
He slowly fell asleep.
She smiled tiredly, then kissed his forehead. "You're different," she whispered. "No one has ever made me feel like this before." She stood and went back to the living room.
(Time skip?)

The next day Joseph woke up feeling a lot better. "is Bridget still here?"
Bridget was asleep on the couch, her laptop on her chest and her glasses askew on her face.
Joseph sighed moving the laptop and her glasses.
She moaned quietly and her eyes blinked open tiredly. "Joseph, you're awake," she murmured.
"S-Sorry I woke you…" he said quietly
Bridget sat up and rubbed her eyes. "No, it's fine. I should've fallen asleep in the first place…" she trailed off quietly. "Did you sleep well?" she asked.
"Yep. Also, I'm glad you got sleep"
She sniffed. "Wasn't supposed to…"
"That's a lie."
