You're an exorcist, a legacy of one of the most powerful bloodlines on the planet. Helping people is what you do. You've been working for the World Exorcist Society ('The Society' for short) for some time and have made quite a name for yourself by being a badass.

I'm a Reaper. An Immortal entity that accidentally got trapped by one of your spells while trying to reap a poor soul. I took a liking to you and allowed you make a soul bond with me to make me your familiar. For the past couple years, we've been working as a team to combat against the evils of the world.

Now There is something deep, dark, and insanely evil brewing in the world. It's our job to try to stop it.

Will there be mayhem? Oh yes.
Will there be blasphemy and other fun activities? Hells yes.
Do you and I like each other more than we should but keep it a secret because we're both lame? Duh.
This is just an adventure.

Name: Solaris Blackwater
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Pansexual
Appearance: Solaris has long, wavy black hair with dark blue highlights, he usually wears his hair in a side french braid. His dark blue eyes are a soft almond shape, each eye has faint blue stars that move around the pupils when he is casting a spell. His skin is lightly olive with golden undertones, a faint scar mars his left cheek. He has quite a muscular, slight ectomorphic build, and stands around 5 foot 11. Solaris tends to wear tight black jeans, a plain white tee, and a hooded denim jacket when he isn't on official business. However, when he is, he prefers to wear suits that vary in colour. Solaris always carries with him a brown leather satchel filled with a spell book, a summoning book, a bible (because you never know when you'll need one), and other items used for exorcisms. On his body and arms there are several runes tattooed with blessed gold, these allow him to have certain abilities.
Main Personality Traits: He's a rather serious, solemn person who takes his work too seriously. He rarely crack a smile, unless his familiar does something deserving of a smile. He's been known to sigh a lot, and gives in too easily with people, but only when he's not working. When he's working he puts on this sort of facade, one that has given him a glorious reputation.
General Background: Solaris comes from a family of exorcists. They were once known for being the best exorcists for 100 generations, however their fame went out of the window when Solaris' older sister had an affair with demons. Since then, the pressure has been on Solaris to bring back the family reputation.
Favorite/Specialized form of magic: (potions, summoning, spells (what kind of spells), etc.) (I'm not sure what to put for this one…)
Other: He likes to play the violin as a way of piecing together his thoughts and calming his soul.

Name: Izanami "Zana"
Age: Unknown, appears to be in her mid 20s
Gender: Reapers don't generally have a gender, but Izanami prefers a more feminine form.
Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Omni
Appearance: Izanami's form fluctuates from person to person depending on what they perceive her as, but they can all agree that she has a more Mediterranean look to her, with high sharp features, large almond shaped eyes that are lined with thick lashes and color so black that people have a hard time looking into them for too long. She stands at a strong 5'9, with a body that borders on 'too thin' despite her subtle curves. Everything about her seems a little too sharp, too deathly, too odd for her to really pass as human. Her hair is absurdly long, straight as a bone, and a greyish-navy hue; she usually wears it up in a ponytail, with long bangs obscuring most of her eyes. She has a number of odd piercings (inner wrists, back of her neck, hips, clavicles, left eyebrow, ears all the way up, bottom right lip) and a few rune like markings from the base of her hair line all the way down her spine. Izanami generally wears all black, too keep up appearances; skin tight black jeans, loose black tshirt, knee length coat that is a bit too big for her, doc marten boots that are ancient and well loved, and a thin black scarf very loosely tied around her neck.
Main Personality Traits: Despite being a literal personification of Death, Izanami is quite outgoing. Human emotions are still a little difficult for her to navigate, but she's trying. She's sarcastic and always ready with a sliver-tongued witty response. She just wants to have fun doing her job as a familiar. Everyone seems to enjoy her presence despite that she can sometimes be incredibly creepy and terrifying. This makes her a bit arrogant because she always knows that she is the most powerful being in the room. Izanami also can have quite the temper, going from happy smiling to murderous in a few seconds. Is is also incredibly loyal to Solaris, as she seems him as her tether to the beautiful earthly realm and she enjoys riling him out of his more stoic nature. Unfortunately, while stuck in human form, Reapers have an insatiable hunger for souls, she will usually consume whatever Solaris is exorcising, but there are times when she cannot control her hunger causing her to be incredibly mean, cold, and callous. She becomes single minded in her hunt for souls and only Solaris' presence has proven to be a balm for her. She cares deeply for him.
General Background: Izanami doesn't remember when or how she came to be, only that she simply is. She is one of the Nine Reapers of Death, although she couldn't tell you what her other siblings are like because she has always been a bit of a rebel, spending much more time in the human realm doing her reaping than actually performing her sacred duties to the Heavens. She finds humanity fascinating. Which led her to accidentally get trapped by Solaris and resulted in their subsequent soul bind. Izanami does worry that one day her family will come looking for her, but for now she's having too much fun.
Favorite/Specialized form of magic: Izanami doesn't have a limitation on her magic, offering a wide range to help Solaris, so she focuses mainly on exorcist magics. The full extent of her strength is unknown to all except Solaris.
Other: Only Solaris is allowed to call her "Zana". She loves chocolate chip muffins and can be convinced to do anything if the reward is a muffin.

(Let's have them start off returning to the Society headquarters from a successful mission, in order to report in and receive new orders. That's when they start to hear about some really brutal cases and go from there?)
(Would you rather me start?)

The Society headquarters building looked like any other bland marble government building, shining imposingly over the street below its multitude of steps. Although it fronted as a museum for religious and occultist history, one never lost the feeling that the very building itself was watching with a judging eye. The Society had almost immediately taken control of the building upon it's completion two hundred years prior, turning its secret tunnels and hidden rooms into the home of the world's greatest defense against the powers of darkness and their warriors. But that wasn't common knowledge, as one needed the true sight to see the sigils and wards that surrounded the building. Not to mention that the Society had decided, after their own conception, that the rest of humanity did not need to know what went bump in the night.

Izanami hated this building. It was too garish and white for her tastes. She much preferred the town-home that she and Solaris stayed in whilst in the capital city. Although, the museum itself had a few toys that she would have loved to get her hands on. The reaper grimaced as she and her master moved through yet another ward, it's magic reaching to tear her to shreds. "Ugh." She groaned, pushing a hand against her temple as she pushed off the warding. Technically, yes, she was one of those 'bump in the night' creatures, but one would thing the Society would be a little nicer since she was on their 'side'. "I hate this place." Izanami grumbled, stomping up the remaining steps.

"Why must we come here all the time? We can do our reports at home!" She continued as her master stepped past her. He was in a mood it seemed, despite their successful mission and Izanami's full belly.

@The-Magician group

Solaris hated that building just as much as Zana did, however if he hoped to remain as part of The Society he needed to follow protocol. He had already broken a couple of rules by keeping Zana as a familiar, but a couple of members from the Head Office were willing to give them a chance– provided that Zana did exactly as she was told. However, that didn't mean that others weren't going behind his back, trying to find a way to get rid of her. He shoved his hands into his trouser pockets as he ascended the stairs. "Believe me Zana, I wish we could, but lately they are keeping tabs on all the exorcists. They want to make sure we are doing our jobs properly, which means following the rules to a T."

Izanami snorted inelegantly, her perk nose wrinkling in distaste. "They're a bunch of slave drivers." She flitted back to Solaris' side as they passed through the main double doors and past the main desk towards the far antechamber. "Remember when we used to have fun? Those were the days." She stretched casually, folding her arms behind her head as she spoke, a lopsided smile appearing on her lips. Izanami had been poking fun at her master all day, in hopes to get a smile out of him, but she seemed to be failing miserably. Maybe it was that weird feeling in the air, that had him so quiet today. The reaper had been feeling it since they had awoken this morning. An eerie sense of malice and doom that hung in the air like a foul stench. There was something wrong with the world, and they both knew it.

@The-Magician group

Solaris' footsteps came to an abrupt halt. He slowly turned to face her, a disappointed expression on his features. "We still have fun, what do you mean?" Though it was true, ever since the Head Office started keeping tabs on the exorcists they had less opportunity for fun. "After this, we're going to go out. A place of your choice, and we're going to have fun." It was better than nothing.

He began walking again, a little quicker than before, they needed to be prompt when inside headquarters. Which room was it again? Fourth door to the right? He took a chance and made his way to the fourth door on the right, slowly reaching for the handle. Something didn't feel right, and by the whispers in the room behind the door, this wasn't going to be a simple 'file the report and go' situation.
"I don't think these two can be trusted with this task."
"They're our best team, even if one of them is a reaper. All our other options are basically idiots."
"I still don't think we should entrust this to them…"

Solaris turned to Zana with a frown. "What do you think they're on about?"

Izanami was still riding the high that Solaris' promise of fun with him had given her enough that she had walked right past him, giddy smile softening her otherwise skeletal features. Sure their relationship was a bit odd, to put it simply, as most didn't understand the deep bond between the two. But most couldn't deny that it was something like fate that had brought the Reaper and Exorcist together.

Realizing that Solaris wasn't next to her anymore, Izanami doubled back, an embarrassed flush to her cheeks. She had opened her mouth to apologize, when he had spoken over her. Not that she minded. Apologies made her uncomfortable. "Can't be anything good." She muttered, answering Solaris' question. She took a step back from the door, looking peeved. No one doubted the resolve of her master, no one.

With a bang! that reverberated down the hall, Izanami kicked open the door and strolled in with her usual ferocious grin. "Well, well, well. Look who it is Solaris! McCarthy and Stinner, plotting as usual."

@The-Magician group

The two women stood there, Stinner with a shocked expression, while McCarthy shook her head with a loud sigh. The two of them shared a familiar complexion, both with very fox-like features and skinny builds.
"I'm guessing you heard us because Stinner here can't keep her loud mouth shut." McCarthy crossed her arms, leaning back on the desk behind her. "I don't think it needs explaining."
"I still think we should entrust them with this task." Stinner grumbled, kicking the floor with her heels. Despite the physical similarities, the two women were nothing alike in personality.
Solaris had to force himself to hold back a grumble as he crossed his own arms. "Just tell us what the bloody task is. It must be something important to warrant not-so-secret whispering."

Izanami stood on Solaris' left side, mirroring his stance. Her black eyes flashing dangerously. A warning to the Society women before them that there would be no funny business. Or else. The Reaper was not one to easily forgive a slight against her, much less one against Solaris. "Well?" She questioned when neither woman spoke.

McCarthy cut a scathing glance at Stinner before sighing roughly. She thrust out a manila file, thick with what looked like papers and many glossy photographs. It shook slightly in her hand as Izanami took it curiously, her mild anger diminishing, but not forgotten. "There is a bit of a problem in the southern countryside–"

"I'll say." Izanami interrupted unintentionally, lips flattening into a thin line as she gazed at the pictures within the folder. She handed the folder over to Solaris without finishing the contents. The blood was a little much for her, even so soon after eating her fill, Izanami could feel the gnawing need grip her insides. Frowning deeper, she push aside her worries about her growing appetite. It was nothing she couldn't handle…

McCarthy cleared her throat, shooting a glare towards the Reaper. "To be completely honest we don't know what it is. The way the bodies are mutilated suggests a rather ravenous demon, but there were no other signs pointing to that one the scene. Nor does it explain the symbol carved into each of the victims–The same one that is so elegantly painted in blood on the wall as well. Frankly, we've never seen it before. Not a single record of it anywhere in the archives." McCarthy gestured to the photographs with a careless hand.

Stinner stood, her lithe frame and sharp features grave. "We want you to two to take lead on this. You're our strongest team, despite the unconventionality of your pairing. The High Paladin is concerned that this may be the start of something we are not prepared for. Any information you glean will need to be communicated immediately. If It's demons–fantastic. Take care of it. If it's not–" The Exorcist gestured weakly, showing just how concerned the higher ups were over this case. "You'll be recalled to Headquarters so we can figure out a game plan for the Society to take as a whole." McCarth finished, stern as ever.

Izanami glanced back and forth between the two Exorcists, before looking back at her master. "Well–this sounds fun." She murmured sarcastically.

@The-Magician group

Solaris didn't bother looking through the file that had been placed in his hands, he just wanted to get out of that building as quickly as possible. "Yes, lot's of fun." You wouldn't have known from his voice, but he actually meant it. "We'll be leaving now, good day." he took Zana's hand and rushed out of the room before the two Exorcists had the chance to utter a single word. "Chances are it's just a spawn deciding to play a prank on us again." He had to force back a groan as he remembered once case where three spawns started causing havoc for the society– and people wondered why he wasn't a massive fan of children.

They made it outside, and finally Solaris could take a deep breath of the cleaner air. He glanced at Zana with a wry smile. "Okay, fun or job first?" No doubt about it, if they decided to make a start on the task they had been given, they wouldn't have time for that fun he promised her. And he always hated breaking a promise to the Reaper. Something about that sad look in her eyes whenever she was let down made all his walls melt away– he couldn't say no to her.

Izanami had been more than a little surprised by their abrupt departure, Solaris wasn't generally someone that dismissed a mission. She was going to voice her concerns, especially after seeing the gore within those photos, but something stopped her. She couldn't quite put her finger on what. It was just strange for Izanami to be the responsible one. Boy did she hate it.

Outside, and Solaris' warm hand still wrapped tightly around hers, Izanami almost felt human. An almost frightening prospect if she was being completely honest. Her heart, if Reapers even had hearts, squeezed tightly in her chest. Clearing her throat to disguise the soft tint of pink on her skeletal cheeks, Izanami let go of her master's hand, instead using it to shake out her silvery hair. "When have you known me to ever choose work over fun?" She teased playfully.

Disregarding her previous emotional turmoil, the reaper reached out, wrapping her arms around Solaris' left side and perched her chin on his shoulder. "The demons can wait. Spawns can especially wait." She gave him a sunny smile, tightening her hold on him just a bit, something telling her that she may not have the chance to do so again in the near future. "Lead the way!"

@The-Magician group

"I told you that you can choose what we do!" Solaris sighed, smirking slyly as he leaned back to whisper to the Reaper's ear. His hand snaked up round the back of her head, his fingers running through her hair. "We can do anything you want."
Of course, they would still have to be on their guard just in case anything were to happen. It was hard to know when a demon was going to appear, and there was a chance they were dealing with an unusual kind of demon this time. Though the longer he stared at Zana's bright smile, the more he was inclined to put work on hold for at least a couple of days just to spend some quality time with her.

(Sorry it's short, I wasn't sure what to put)

(It's okay! we're still working out the plot)

Izanami's fair cheeks tinted as her mind raced with an assortment of things that she would like to do with Solaris, but she clamped her lips shut tightly against her teeth. Despite her flippant disregard for the Society's rules, She would never voice her true feelings for him. There was just no way she would ever risk his life. Reapers didn't get happily ever afters and more often than not–Exorcists didn't either.

Sighing softly, Izanami selfishly leaned into her Master's hand for a moment before speaking. Her voice equally soft as the expression she wore. "When was the last time we went out for a drink and some dancing, hmmm?"
