She forced herself to become less of a mess and looked up at Alyssa. She face was blotchy and red from her crying, her eyes puffy and watery. "I-I'm okay." Her voice was thin and broken.
She forced herself to become less of a mess and looked up at Alyssa. She face was blotchy and red from her crying, her eyes puffy and watery. "I-I'm okay." Her voice was thin and broken.
Alyssa hugs her gently. "Thank god…" She whispers softly and holds Becca close. "C'mon…" She gently helps the other girl up and looks around in worry. "We'll head to the hospital, okay? Mum and dad are on their way…"
She nodded and scrubbed her face of tears. "O-Okay…" She just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry until she was too tired to cry anymore.
Alyssa rubbed her back gently, looking rather worried. She helped Becca into the car before driving towards the hospital. Ace's parents were waiting for them there.
She wasn't doing too good. She had seen how bad he was when he was first hit and she wasn't feeling too optimistic. She tried to keep her head up but it just wasn't working.
"How is he?" Alyssa asks desperately. Mrs. Jackson looks up before looking at the other. "He's in surgery now…" She whispers. Alyssa nods before sighing quietly. She looked upset, and she was trying her hardest not to cry.
(He should get amnesia)
(Absolutely)
Becca blinked back tears, trying to calm herself down. Everything would be fine. He was still alive so that was better than nothing.
Alyssa nods before sighing quietly. "Alright. I'll go wait for them… Becca? Do you want to come with me?" She asks softly, her eyes on Becca.
She thought for a minute before nodding. She wanted to see him when he came out of surgery, just to convince herself that he'd be okay.
Alyssa smiles a little shakily towards Becca before walking them to the desk. Alyssa asks quietly for his room and the nurse gives them the number. "His surgery won't be done for a while…" She warns quietly. Alyssa nods. "Thank you, miss."
Becca didn't care that surgery wouldn't be done for a while, she just wanted to be there when he was done. She wanted to be the first one to see him awake. She was so scared and worried about him.
(Time skip?)
(Sure!)
After an hour or so a Doctor exits the room, sighing softly as she scanned over her clipboard. She looks up and smiles weakly. "You must be the young man's family? He's going to live… but." Her voice faded a little. She sighed quietly. "Based on how hard the car hit him, he has a concussion. A bad one at that."
The knot in her chest loosened a little. She was sad about the concussion but she was a little relieved that he was going to be okay. She was still blinking back tears, trying to keep it together.
The nurse smiled. "I'm sure he'll wake up in a few minutes." She says gently, opening the door for them. She looked concerned though. "Please tell me.if anything is off."
Becca immediately took the seat next to him, feeling a little better when she saw him. He was here, he was alive, and he was going to be okay.
Ace's breathing was unsteady and uneven, but his heart rate was normal, so that was good. He groaned softly in his sleep, before going still again. Alyssa sat down beside her brothers bed, across from Becca.
She dropped her head into her hands. Please please please wake up I can't lose you…
Alyssa watched with a worried expression. She was biting her lip so hard that it had begun to bleed a little. Ace slowly opened his eyes and groaned again, inhaling sharply before crying out in pain.
Ace felt like he was going to die again. His body ached everywhere, his eyesight blurry. Everything was a mess. He reached up and felt the bandage covering half his face.
Her head shot up when she heard the commotion. She instantly relaxed, tearing up again as a slight smile pulled at her lips. He was awake, he was okay.
Ace looked around weakly before coughing weakly. He looked up at the other. "Hello…" He mutters softly, nuzzling into the other.
"Hey Ace, you feeling okay?" She knew the answer was probably no but the question just came out.
Ace glanced at her for a moment, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "I- I'm really sorry to ask this. B-but who are you people?" He asks softly.
She gasped, her heart shattering. He doesn't remember… She swallowed the rock in her throat and tried to speak. "I'm Becca. Your girlfriend." Just saying the word made her throat close up. "That's Alyssa, she's your sister."
