"Okay, then." Blink pulled out some more paper, quickly scribbling down the incantation and offering it to Shara.
"Here, that should do it." Blink looked to the other orbs left floating on their pedestal, shaking their head some.
"No… others else will have to find them." It had been so long since someone had found the shrine- and Blink doubted Shara would be able to again. How long would it be until someone else came? Would Blink have already been returned by then?
Shara shrugged and quickly used their phone to save the gps numbers for this place before typing in the incantation, letting the words spill out of the phone and fingerspelling them too, just in case.
Blink had their hand on Shara's shoulder while they typed and signed, feeling the command wash over the spell. Their mouth opened some with a white-purple glow, and in a moment, time was frozen. Blink was the only one aware of this, Shara frozen as well. The spell sighed, moving to pick Shara up.
Don't do anything stupid, Blink. The spell looked up at the red orb. It was glowing, moving still. Of course their effect didn't reach him.
"No promises~" Blink put on a brave face, even if it did hurt a bit to leave the rest of their kin here, trapped. Blink looked away, clambering up their old pedestal with Shara under one arm, easily making the jump to the high ground on the edge of the hole. They could only do these things when they were activated, of course, they wouldn't have let Shara do it otherwise. They hated this feeling, hated the pain building up in their chest the longer it went on.
They set Shara down, and with a snap, time continued on.
"There, you officially used your new spell for the first time." Blink yawned some.
"I'll need some time to recharge before I'm used again, but I won't have to sleep or anything like that."
(Uhhh, so I've been swamped with stuff all day today and this is the first time I've been able to check notebook—how should I respond? Also are you planning on having the whole rp be this quick paced, because I'm honestly not sure I'll be able to keep up if it is. I usually take an average of ten/twenty minutes to craft my responses, since I put a lot of thought into stuff like this, and my activity can range from on all day to only a couple times a day or days. It might be better for me to withdraw, as interesting as this plot is… I wouldn't want to hold you guys back.)
(I see… it might be a good idea for you to pull back out, yeah. * however, * I'd be more than willing to do a one on one of this with you too if you want? It could be a lot more chill than this one if you'd like)
(I'd really appreciate that, if you're certain you're willing to have another going?)
(I'm sure! Wanna do it public or in pms?)
(Thank you! And either works for me, you can @ me if you do public. I have dinner and homework to finish tonight, but I'll check back before I go to bed to respond to things!)
Shara let out a strangled little shriek when they snapped back into time, honestly a bit startled. The second thing they did was look over to Blink, hands fumbling to get their phone back out and type. "Are you okay?"
Blink looked unaffected by the shriek, yawning again.
"Yeah, I'm fine," they said, waving their hand to dismiss the idea. "It just takes a lot to do that. I'll be back to normal in about ten minutes."
Shara nodded firmly and sat down on the forest floor, patting the spot next to them before typing. "We wait until you feel better then." They smiled widely and waited for them to sit.
Blink tilted their head some, confused.
"You don't have to do that, you know." The spell sat down, though, looking around. After a moment, though, they just closed their eyes, tilting their face up to the sun.
Shara swayed their head happily, typing into their phone more. "You're my friend and you just helped me, so you should get a break. Common sense." Their phone spoke, being accented by Shara flopping backwards and looking up at the sun as well.
"Not your friend," Blink mumbled. Still, they laid back with Shara, opening their eyes as he let out a soft breath of amazement. Their legs were hanging over the edge into the shrine, and they smiled just a bit.
Shara didn't even have to look at their phone to type this one out. "Yeah you are, smiley face. I may be deaf, but I can see your smile." They snarked, messing around with it halfway through to change the phone's voice to british.
"Hey, I'm smiling because I'm free, not because you're my friend!" Blink huffed some, looking over to give Shara a stink eye.
"You just don't want to admit it!" The now british voice exclaimed, somehow sounding smug even with the monotone setting it was one.
"Oh, kiss my ass," Blink growled. "I'm a deadly, time and space altering weapon for world domination. I don't have friends, I have users."
Shara let out a giggle, only able to read about half of what they said but getting the feeling behind it. "You don't want to have friends but now you don't have a choice!" They typed into their phone.
Blink opened their mouth to object, but their words didn't make it out.
"Fine then, friend," They said instead. They looked away so Shara couldn't see their face, hands clenching some. They hated it, they hated how Shara could control them without even meaning to with just a few words.
Shara frowned, being deaf meant they had learned how to read body language. "Are you okay? Did I say something wrong? We don't have to be friends if you don't want to."
Blink let out a breath as they felt the command lift. They looked over again so Shara could tell what they were saying, still pissy.
"I'm fine. You just don't seem to understand what I've been trying to tell you, and it's just going to end with me getting hurt."
(Oh crap sorry, my laptop died and deleted all my tabs lol)
