Skye started when someone tugged on his jacket, whipping around to see Miguel. "Miguel… Hey…" he smiled, half in relief that if wasn't some other kid needing help with street thugs.

Miguel smiled back and pulled the toast, apple, and money from his bag. “I brought you some stuff.”

Skye stared in surprise, quickly shaking his head. "No you keep it… I can take care of myself just fine.." he said quickly. Ignoring the fact that he was suddenly starving and the fact that he could really use the money in lots of ways.

Miguel frowned, looking a bit hurt, but he thrust the food and money towards him, “Please take it. You deserve it after saving me yesterday, consider it as a payment for my appreciation.”

Skye reluctantly accepted it, "You don't have to…" he said, regretting the fact that he had hurt the other's feelings. "Sorry for pushing you back…" he munched on a smaller piece of the toast, just enough to quell his hunger.

“I wanted to, and it’s fine. Trust me. I wish I understood how you and others feel, but I don’t.”

Skys sighed, "I almost wish I could show you…" he said, aving the rest of the toast for later. You don't want this life Miguel… you're too good for this… he thought.

"You guys live in fear of starving or freezing to death. Im only scared of my parents wrath.' Miguel sighed. "If I get caught, I'll be locked up in my room."

"Hey.. It's not all bad.." said Skye with a faint smile. "The night stars in winter are always breathtaking, so much so that you almost forget how cold it is…" he hummed for a moment, "and sunrise is amazing, plus no bedtimes…"

Miguel looked uncertain but smiled, "Sounds kinda nice. My favorite thing at the kingdom is the garden, it's big and very beautiful. I should sneak you in sometime so you can see."

Skye smiled, "You should see the outside wilderness.." he mumbled, a bit absentminded as he studied the other's face.

“I forgot that kind of stuff existed…” Miguel said biting his lip, “The outside world…never been there…” He realized.

Skye shrugged, "Maybe sometime I can take you.." he said softly.

Miguel looked to the other excitedly, “Really?!”

"Of course.." he said, trying not to laugh as the other's face lit up.

“You’re the best! Do you want to see the Kingdom garden?” Miguel said, a light blush on his face.

Skye smiled, "Sure! Though I'm not to sure about the risk… I have to avoid getting caught.."

“I’ll make sure you don’t, I promise.” Miguel said with a smile, “Cmon!”

Skye hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded, following the other.

Miguel headed through the large crowds making his way to a secret entrance through some vines that lead to the Garden.

Skye followed him, his eyes lighting up at the discovery of the secret entrance.

Miguel held the vines back for Skye to walk through, once they were both inside, Miguel triumphantly stood on a stump and grinned. The garden was spectacular looking, despite the cold weather, it was warmer in here and flowers were pretty much everywhere.

Skye grinned upon seeing all the different flowers, his eyes bright with curiosity as he stopped to look at each one.

Miguel’s tail curled with satisfaction as he saw Skye was enjoying himself. He looked up at his balcony and sighed in relief when he saw no one there. I know they’ll come soon…they always catch me eventually… he frowned but then smiled again.

Skye smiled, ignorant to anything else as he carefully admired the different flora.
