Firiko winced, biting back a hiss of pain as the other pressed the towel to the wound. His wings puffed up too, another sign that it hurt and he didn't like it.
Marcus softly apologized, watching it sizzle. He then carefully poured the peroxide straight from the bottle onto the wound, going slow. He stopped when it was fully covered, watching it bubble and fizz for a little bit. “I’m sorry. I had to do that. It’s to make sure it won’t get infected.”
Firiko hissed in pain as the other poured the disinfectant into the wound. "I know… doesn't mean I have to like it…" he said through clenched teeth.
“I know I know.” He cleaned up around the wound and replaced the supplies, grabbing a roll of bandages and wrapping him up, “How is your wing?”
"Stiff… but there's not much you can do about that…" he said, watching as the other bandaged him up again.
“Maybe we should do some exercises for it… I want to make sure you can fly again afterwords.” He said softly.
"Don't worry about it.. I've been grounded before.." said Firiko, "Trying to do much with it will only make it worse, the main reason It's stiff is because I've been doing more distance flying than normal, and now I'm not using it at all… that's why It's stiff.." he sighed, "trust me, it'll be alright."
“Are you sure?” He asked gently, rubbing his head and sighing. “I want to make sure you’re ok before I go make breakfast.”
"I'm sure.." said Firiko, trying to reassure him.
“Alright. If you need anything, call…” he said softly. “Do you have a phone? I should be able to hear you but I’m not quite sure about other places.” He winked.
"I've never had nor needed a phone.." said Firiko softly, looking up at him.
“We should get you one. So I can keep in contact with you when I can’t be around.” He said softly, tilting his head
Firiko shrugged, "Okay…." he said, a bit uncertain on that topic.
“I won’t force you. After all, you are being hunted.” He said, shrugging. “But don’t worry so much about them. I have weapons everywhere around the house.”
Marcus was paranoid about Marx, the leader of the gang - coming back for him. He had so many weapons hidden around the house he’d be ready for Marx’s return. He wasn’t going back to the gang. Nor was he going to die because he quit.
Firiko nodded, "All I really need is my sword.. I could still fight if I had to…" he said.
Marcus flashed him a rather sinister smile. “Of course, but you haven’t dealt with my enemies. A sword won’t do you much good against a gun.
"You haven't seen what I can do with a blade" said Firiko, "Besides, It's not the sword itself I need, It's the runes carved on it, and the material It's made of."
“Oh that makes more sense. Are they magic?” He asked softly.
"Not exactly, but it does augment my powers" he said.
“So can you defend yourself against a bullet?” He asked softly. He hoped so. Marx would stop st nothing to make sure the ex-gang member was miserable
"It works against arrows.." said Firiko, "I'd say that unless the bullet was made of black iron, or merika, then yeah.. it'd work.." he said, thinking through the shield spell for a moment.
“Good. I want you to stay safe.” He smiled softly. “Would you like bacon and eggs for breakfast?”
"Sounds great!" he said, realizing he was actually really hungry.
“Alright I’ll go and make that and then bring it back to you. Don’t get up.” He Warner
Firiko sighed at the last part, but but nodded reluctantly. He didn't like not being able to move. Expecially when he was used to moving constantly.
