She continued to walk, glancing over at him every time they passed a door or a hallway, waiting for when they would finally get to Alexei.
She continued to walk, glancing over at him every time they passed a door or a hallway, waiting for when they would finally get to Alexei.
Zev led her over to a doorway, opening it up.
“Are you coming in too?” She asked, stepping through the doorway and looking around the room she had entered.
Zev nodded, and followed her in. Alexei was waiting, standing at a table where he was busy working on designs.
"I heard you needed me?" Thesa wandered over to the table once they had entered the room, glancing at the designs that were out and then at the inventor.
Alexei looked up. "Ah, yes. You said you wanted a chance to design something, yes?"
She nodded, smiling very gently as if she couldn't believe that he had remembered, "Yes, I did." Getting to design something sounded amazing, and she hoped that he was going to say she could get something together.
Alexei beckoned her over. "What did you want to design?" he questioned.
"Well if it's possible I wanted to work on an android of some sort, maybe something similar to Zev, but otherwise I'm not picky." Thesa walked over to where he was, glancing at the table and designs with a hint of a smile.
Alexei nodded, brushing away some of the designs. "Alright."
Thesa looked over the remaining ideas, then at him, "What do you want me to work on? If you have a project you need to be worked on, I could do it while on my own ship in space. We could meet up every so often to check-in."
Alexei looked at her, considering that. "That could work, yes, if you're sure your ship's computer has the right specifications to meet the requirements for the software you'll need."
"I'm not sure if it has the right specifications but we could go check, once we get a design together," She offered, shrugging and brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
"Alright." he replied. "So, you wanted to do an android, yes?"
Thesa nodded, "If I can, yes that's my preferred thing to work on."
He nodded a little, pulling up a few different plans.
She smiled, looking at them with an interesting look. It was fun, looking at the different plans she could start with, "Do you have any, in particular, you would like me to work on?"
Alexei hummed for a moment. "I am not sure." He replied. "How much experience do you have?"
"Barely any on androids, but I have built my entire ship and a few little droids," Thesa replied, shrugging, "If that works for the experience."
Alexei nodded slightly. "I see. We had best do something a little more simple, then. Zev was…quite complex, since he was designed to handle nearly anything. A less specialized Android would be far easier to do."
She nodded, hiding her minor disappointment around not building something as interesting as Zev, "That works, what model were you thinking of?"
"Oh! I did not mean a specific model, I only meant that it cannot have as much complexity as Zev has. I have never been able to repeat the exact results, and I have no idea why."
Thesa's smile appeared brighter again and she nodded, glancing over at Zev, noting how quiet he had become, "Perfect, but even then, am I free to create my own base or do you want me to work of the basics of a model that's already built?"
Zev watched them quietly, his head slightly cocked. Alexei thought for a moment. "Well, for the model itself, the body anyway, it may be easier to simply modify components, rather than build a new form as I did for Zev. For the coding, do you believe yourself to be up to the task of coding it?"
"I can code it, definitely," She replied, nodding again with a bright smile, "I'm up for that challenge."
