"It's actually a type of metal…" said Skye wrapping the last bandage, "you can put him down now" said Skye standing back and grabbing the last towel and soaking it in the bucket of salt water and draping it over his freind. "Coras is a type of metal that Demios and Demias use, Rio is 3/4 Demios, which makes him a powerful Demias.. And unfortunately Coras is a kind of poison, but only if you ingest, or get cut with it. Like I said it's not lethal to most people, but to an Aquarios Demias like Rio, it's absolutely lethal…"
Megan set Rio down carefully. "Well… That's unfortunate to hear…" She let out a long breath. Hang in there Tobias… I'll have to fix you as soon as I have time to go to the Institute….
"Luckily the Antidote is pretty easy to get.." said Skye, At least it is for a deep sea diver… "But we need to get Rio to the ocean…"
"T-To the ocean….?" Megan was a bit hesitant. I don't think it'd be too good to leave Tobias short-circuit for too long… And the ocean is several miles away…. She bit her lip, pulled between Rio's health and Tobias' overall well-being. "I…." She stammered.
"Don't worry, Rio will last long enough for you to fix Tobias," said Skye, hearing her thoughts "and he'll last even longer when we get him to the sea.. Oh and you'll have to excuse me, dealing with Kyara" he gestured to the girl, "Drained the energy from my mental shields.. Which is why I can hear the most emotional thoughts you have…"
"Okay…." Megan writhed her hands a bit embarrassingly. "We can make it to the Institute… And maybe fix Tobias… But… You said he got shocked, right?"
"Yeah" said Skye getting a handful of the salt water and pouring it carefully down Rio's throat.
Megan frowned and shook her head, nearly feeling a tear forming in her eye. "It'll take forever to fix him… The mechanical neurology behind that is incredibly complex… And I have no idea if I'll be able to fix him in the first place…" She rubbed at her eyes to make it seem like she wasn't on the brink of crying.
"Come on." said Skye comfortingly, "There's gotta be a way… listen will your lab be empty right now?" he asked moving Rio to the couch. and giving Kyara a set of instructions.
"Most likely, considering it's practically dinner time…" Megan muttered, keeping her hands over her face miserably. "…I guess I shouldn't be just sitting here, then…"
She went upstairs to the kid's room where he was lying somewhat spread out on his bed. "I'm sorry…" She said quietly, lips wavering in an attempt to hide her sobbing. She picked him up from his bed and headed on downstairs. I'm sorry….
Skye put a hand on her shoulder, "let's get to fixing him alright?" he said warping them to the lab he'd seen before. When they got there it took quite a bit for Him not to fall over, but he drew on the starlight flowing into the window.
(Lol okay…)
Megan was a tad startled when they appeared there so suddenly. But as per usual, she set him down on the table in the center of the room. "…This will probably take all night… And it doesn't help that I have to work tomorrow, and he still needs to go to school…." She brought the normal electrical wire patches down, sticking them carefully on his forehead and cheeks.
"However…" Megan went and turned on the machine, which put an electrical current in his body to prevent him from waking up immediately after correcting the bug. "I'll have to call them and say that he won't be there…"
"Take all the time you need" said Skye, trying not to sound as exhausted as he was. "and let me know if you need help"
"It would be nice to have something to eat…" Megan said to herself, putting on her lab coat. "Because I was about to have dinner when this whole catastrophe started…" It's not like it's our fault, though, She thought to herself angrily.
Skye nodded to himself then concentrated for a moment, before warping a couple of plates over to the lab for him and Megan. "better?" he asked offering one to her, again, trying his best not to pass out.
"…hm… Thank you…." She went a bit quickly and stuffed the most food she could down her throat before washing her hands and putting on some gloves. "I have no idea how long this will take…" She wheeled a cart closer to her. "But it might be a whole night or two… And then he has to recover for a little bit…"
She scanned him quickly, seeing a small black burnt mark on his thumb and finger on the same hand. I thought I taught him to leave electrical issues to me… But he never forgets and always tells the truth… She froze. …It's my fault he's like this…
"Don't worry about anything, just focus on fixing him," said Skye using some of his mental powers to help her calm down a little.
Megan took a deep breath, breaking the skin apart at his hairline and opening him up to his cranium. …I never thought I'd have to do this, truthfully…. Nonetheless, she went to work diligently.
Skye watched with interest for awhile before sitting down in a corner, underneath the starlight, to keep watch. I'm obviously not getting any sleep… he thought to himself. Oh well.. this isn't the first all nighter I've pulled after an aura drain like that he thought to himself as he felt the migraine coming on again.
Megan began to sweat 5 seconds into the repair. …Why does something so small have to nearly kill him…? She replaced some broken thingie that she found on his main circuit board (because I have no clue how to work electronics). Megan carefully removed some old wires that were no good as well, putting them on the cart.
She did this for hours on end, and she felt like she always came so close to being done, but found a flaw every time. Eventually, she was done removing old and broken things, but it was nearly 3 in the morning.
She sat back, eyes stinging and hands aching.
Skye had been watching her this whole time, Noticing she was tired he came up to her, digging something out of his pocket, finally pulling out some leaves he offered them to her, "Here eat these," he said "They're called Night-Yitsu, it's an herb that helps you stay awake and focused for longer periods of time, as if you've just had a good night's sleep. Mind you it isn't healthy to use them all the time or they won't work… but it'll help for now."
She closed her eyes for a moment, letting out a deep breath. "And you know these work the same on me as it would on you?" I just need the glorious sleep…
"It was a fullblood human that showed them to me first… and healers of all kinds human, wolf, halfblood, Demias, dragon, they all use it." Said Skye reassuringly.
"If you insist." She took some and swallowed it, tasting it as something [insert taste here.] It wasn't necessarily her favorite, but her eyes were quickly relieved of that awful sting, and she pulled out some spare parts to put back into him. This is always the worst…
Skye nodded watching with interest once more. He didnt say anything tho.. for fear of her messing something up because of him.
(Btw that herb tastes either really bitter or like heaven depending on the person. The latter is rare tho..)
