"Me. It has something to do with me." Jess explains.
"Am I right, or am I completely off the mark?"
"Me. It has something to do with me." Jess explains.
"Am I right, or am I completely off the mark?"
"I'll be honest with you, I have no idea. But if you think that, maybe you're right?"
"I don't know, really. I don't."
Jess sighs.
"Okay. My thoughts aren't always right. Hell, they're wrong more often than not. I'm not a psychiatrist, psychologist, or any other kind of '-ist.'"
(sorry for the wait again lol)
Kris, who was looking at the floor, met Jess' eyes. "It doesn't matter whether or not you were wrong. It was sweet of you to ask." She looks down again and smiles slightly.
(It's fine, lol. I do remember you saying you killed your phone and would be less active, so I'm cool here)
Jess holds Kris' gaze for a moment before breaking eye contact.
"Yeah, I suppose it was." she murmurs.
Kris lets some of her dark hair fall in front of her face, looking at Jess through blurred strands. "Anyway, yeah. I'm alright."
Jess smiles.
"I'm glad. Anyways, I'm going to pay for everything, then we can get out of here."
"Mhm." Kris follows Jess as she walks to the counter. She looks at the album covers, all familiar.
Jess pays for everything, grabs one of the bags meant for carrying the records home, and smiles at Kris.
"C'mon, let's go."
Kris exits. For some reason she thought it'd be less cold outside. This assumption was immediately shot down. 'They said it was hot here all the time.' She thought indignantly.
(not based on true events definitely not because i do this all the time)
Jess looks around for a moment before spotting an ice cream store.
"OOO, let's get ice cream!" she says excitedly, grabbing Kris' hand and pulling her towards the shop.
Kris paid no attention to her hand in Jess'. "It's- it's like sixty degrees out here! This jacket is thin." She complained, laughing.
Jess grins.
"And? It's ice cream!" she laughs.
"Fair." Kris takes her hand away from Jesses and continues. "Could I expect anything else from you?" She smiles.
"Nope!" Jess replies happily, stepping inside the shop.
"What're you getting?" Kris asks, glancing at her.
"Something with enough chocolate to give me a heart attack." she grins.
(me)
"And not a seizure?"
"I'll probably just get an average amount of chocolate."
(lol)
"Why not both then?" Jess laughs.
"Ah, weak bloodline. Your family will end with you, so tragic." she teases.
"Hm, no I think I'm normal and you just have an incredibly strong bloodline."
Kris walks up to the counter.
Jess giggles.
"Oh, it's the same thing."
She follows Kris up to the counter.
Kris smiles at Jess's laugh then orders for herself in an attempt to look confident.
Jess - being Jess - orders a chocolate fudge chunk ice cream, two scoops, with Hershey's chocolate drizzled over top, chocolate chips over top that, and M&Ms over top all of that.
"I wasn't kidding, you know." she grins, taking her ice cream.
"Considering yesterday, yeah, I do know." Kris laughs. She sits at one of the tables.
"Oh yeah! That whole thing. I forgot about that." Jess chuckles, starting on her ice cream.
