After a while of running, Cole thought it was safe to stop and he did, slowing down to a stop, "I think… we're safe… for now…" He said through pants.
After a while of running, Cole thought it was safe to stop and he did, slowing down to a stop, "I think… we're safe… for now…" He said through pants.
Jeremiah didn't realize they were going to stop and he tried to quickly stop but failed miserably and ended up on the ground. "I'm okay."
(Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm taking a break for a couple days to deal with school work and a broken heart. I'll be back after the weekend is over and I might drop in once or twice but I can't promise anything. I'll be back, though.)
Cole held out his hand for Jeremiah to take, still catching his breath a little, "We're not too far away from my apartment, you can stay there tonight, both of you."
(It's fine, take your time!)
Jeremiah took his hand, smiling thankfully at Cole. "Thanks. Also, are you sure? We don't want to bother you or anything."
"It's no problem, really. He seems like the type that already knows where you live so my place will be safe. It's really no trouble." Cole said as he pulled Jeremiah up.
Jeremiah glanced at Carter to see if she was okay with it and she nodded slightly. "He probably does know where we live." He muttered.
"My apartment is only five minutes from here, we should get going." Cole let go of Jeremiah's hand and set off in that direction.
"Okay then." Jeremiah said. The twins quietly followed Cole to his apartment.
The walk wasn't long, and soon they were at his place. It was a simple, two bedroom, one bathroom apartment. It was fairly nice and homely, but just had that sense of emptiness, too, "There's two bedrooms so you can have one each if you want. I'll take the couch."
"No, it's fine. I'll take the couch." Jeremiah quickly said, glancing at Carter to see if she was okay.
"You're my guests, Jeremiah. I won't have you sleep on the couch." He protested.
"This is your house so you get to sleep on one of the beds, then Carter might be injured badly so she should sleep on the other bed. Which leaves me with the couch."
