(Oh boy…)
Hunter was startled, when Kye suddenly gave a grunt and turned. When the guy called him a piece of trash, a flash of anger shot through her. Anger of the kind she hadn't felt since before the "accident." A dark, stormy anger, full of bitterness and hatred. She glared up into the guy's face, looking more furious. "I don't know who you think you are to call him that," she spat angrily. Her eyes flashed a deep gold, and sparks flew in her vision, appearing all over his body, covering his weak spots. Her hands itched to hit him. "But I don't like it. He's a better person than you are, and could ever be, hun." She clenched her fists at her sides, doing her best to calm down. She wouldn't rip this guy apart, not yet. Not while Kye was around.
"Well, good luck" Crow said, smiling. "I hope you win. Sixteen years? That's persistent."

Kye laced his arm in Hunter's and took a step back. "Sir we do not want any trouble, we were invited to the tournament. You know as well as I how rude it is to refuse an invitation if you do not have a valid excuse," he explained. The man rolled his eyes turning his attention back to Kye.
"No one asked you Demon boy," he spat. Then turning back to Hunter he reached out to grab her arm. "Come on hun you don't want to be here with this kid. Come hang out with people that won't go all psycho on you and tear you apart."
Kye suddenly grabbed the man's arm and stepped in between Hunter. "You do not want to do that sir," he warned. "If you really want to settle this save it for the arena." A purple glow had surrounded him and Hunter.
"Well, good luck" Crow said, smiling. "I hope you win. Sixteen years? That's persistent."
"I am just a little bit," Tonakee chuckled. Despite the growing crowd Tonakee seemed able to move around people without bumping into anyone. Almost as if she knew they were there without seeing them. "Those years weren't all in a row however. See I've been challenged by people as well, and it is advised to only be in one physical event. I think my favorite match that I've ever been in was the double match I had with my brother."
Hunter pulled her arm from Kye's grip and stepped closer to the guy. A warm, gold, buttery presence brushed past her, as if sensing her anger, and she pinched her lips together in annoyance. A faint gold outline curled around her, and she shook her head. "No," she said, to no one in particular.
"I can hold my own," she said, smiling sweetly at the man. "I'm not afraid. But it's sweet of you to think so."
"What's a double match?" Raven asked, looking interested. She pulled herself from her sister's grasp. "That sounds awesome! Do you fight multiple people, or what?"
