"Fine." She gave a short nod. "Take me to where all the action is." Her hands went up to her neck and touched thin air. She pursed her lips. Right. She didn't have Azvameth anymore.

"Well, if you want to be where all the action is you are already there," a new voice spoke up from next to them. Lachlan jumped slightly and looked over to see Kye leaned against one of the booths. Surprisingly he was a bit banged up looking. "Hey Hunter, how you been?"
(Hey, sorry to be the bringer of bad news but I won’t be completely active until the 7th or 8th due to school work and activities. You guys can go on without me, I’ll find a way to slip myself back)
(Aww, okay! Well, good luck on your activities!)
Hunter turned at the sound of his voice, and dug her fingers into her palms to fight off the grin that was threatening to break across her face. She crossed her arms and scowled. "Caveboy. I haven't seen you in a while."
Kye had a completely black expression on his face. "I agree it has been quite a while," he replied in a monotone way. Lachlan looked between the two for a moment.
"Okay knock it off, I've been trained well enough to know when you're clearly very excited to see each other. Geez', I'm gonna go find Ovan," he turned and started walking away.
"Do be careful of the sarcasm you seem o be dragging behind you Lach," Kye called after him.
Lachlan replied with a wave of his hand, before disappearing into the crowd.
(I will keep a way to get you back into this. I promise!)
(These two…)
Hunter rolled her eyes. "Honestly. I think he stole my sarcasm and took it with him. Nope, wait, I still have it. Good."
She glanced at him, eyes sparkling, although her face was still blank and cold. "I don't see why he thinks we're excited to see each other. I'd almost be offended if I really cared."
"Were you going to tell me that you were going to come? Because I told you about this a month ago and got no response," Kye still spoke monotone and had a completely blank expression.
She shrugged. "I wasn't sure at first, if I was going to come. All the fighting…" she wrinkled her nose. "And then I had to fix the Portal Gem, because it wasn't working right again." She rolled her eyes. "If it wasn't so useful I'd throw it away."
"It is not fighting," Kye corrected. "It is a competition in which we test our skills to see what we need to work on or touch up, or to see how far along we have come." He offered his arm as he turned to start moving. In his typical gentleman fashion. "Would you like to see the rest of the area? We have a couple hours before the first batch of matches start."
"It's the same thing." She moved toward him, to take his arm, then changed her mind and flung her arms around him for a moment before letting go and taking his arm. "Please do. I want to see the sharp stuff."
(Okay, I need to take back what I said some days ago. Thankfully, my club prez got someone to do parts of the activities which means that— I have time finally •^•)
(Also, about introducing one character at a time, I’ll change that real quick XD)
Caden nodded subtly as he looked down at the papers. He started to write things about himself on the paper, mostly just the general stuff; his name, age, gender, and all that. When he got to the ‘Powers’ part, he struggled.
He wanted to write something yet writing anything about his powers may reveal certain weaknesses.
He couldn’t just leave it blank now, could he?
He wrote something down…
”Able to harness magic from decks of playing cards in different forms” was what he wrote.
”Like this?” he looked up so the staff could confirm.
Amongst the crowd, a young-looking male walked through the several people and was headed towards the Arena he spotted since he’d arrived. Some females turned when they spotted him, some even squealed a bit upon meeting his gaze. The male figurine smiled just slightly as his forest green colored irises reflected the light from the sun shining down at him.
The two swords that were strapped to his belt; one of white and one of black, reacted to the sunlight just slightly, absorbing in heat energy. The fox mask he had hanging from his neck danced to the rhythm of his movement as he slipped through the crowd. He eventually made his way pass what he could only assume to be the most crowded street around the area.
With the jewel at hand, the laid down suited criminal master escaped the scene with an ability his ‘master’ granted to him. Once again, the jewel wasn’t the one he was searching for. The hooded man sighed softly before standing up. He looked around and decided to explore before returning to his own realm. Perhaps he’ll have something better to do here or maybe he could take something home as well, who knows.
Dusting himself once, he paced towards the large structure in the near distance.
The musician carried her suitcase of sheet music with her hand while her instrument was taking on its special form at that moment. She sighed happily as she looked pass the horizon. Working as a bounty hunter part-time really got her back in the fighting game. So it was only natural that she was attracted to the Arena-like building she saw when she was sent here.
She slid down the ledge she stood by and gradually made her way towards said building.
Kye let a smile shine through on his face, as they started through the crowds and booths. "How is your griffin friend back on the trial realm?" he asked as they made their way towards the arena.
"Falin? She's fine. Still doesn't like you, but I can't o anything about that." She nudged him. "What did you do, to make her hate you so much?" Hunter looked happier then she had in a while. "Also, I finally have permission from the Council to visit other worlds, and have a break every once in while." She made a face. "Apparently being dead does not mean that I get to quit my job. At least I like it more," she said, grinning at him.
Two girls waked through the crowd. They both had charcoal-gray cloaks on, with the hoods up, and both moved in sync, hands barely touching. They excluded a powerful aura, and seemed dark and mysterious.
Then, one of them threw her hood off, revealing long black hair and hazel eyes. She nudged the other, eyes laughing at the world. "Come on, Crow. We don't have to have our hoods on. They're useless, and besides, we're getting stares.
The other girl, Crow, sighed and pulled her hood off as well, revealing a face almost identical to the first girl's, but with blue-gray eyes. While the first girl seemed to bounce with energy and amusement and uncontrolled emotion, Crow was calmer, cooler, and regarded the world with more caution than her twin sister did. "Yes, Raven, but what if someone recognizes us?"
Raven scoffed. "Who cares? It's not like we won't be able to tell of they try to kill us."
Crow nudged her sister. "We're getting looks," she hissed. "Keep your voice down."
Raven rolled her eyes. "So what? You can't honestly tell me that you're not use to it."
"Yes, but-"
"Oh, quiet, we'll be fine."

The kid in the booth looked it over briefly before nodding, "Yep that looks about right," he set the paper down with the others. "Would you like to pick who you will face or would you like someone to pick you?"

"Hey you!" A female called from above him. From the roof of one of the booths and woman sat with her legs crossed looking down at the people in the street. She was wearing knee high boots, tan leggings, with a dark brown tunic and black belt. She had bright yellow blonde curled hair that came down just below her shoulders. Her emerald green eyes glimmering in the sunlight. "Whatcha doin' this side of town?" she asked standing up and dropping down lightly next to him. Upon standing up a coiled whip on her belt could be seen.
With the jewel at hand, the laid down suited criminal master escaped the scene with an ability his ‘master’ granted to him. Once again, the jewel wasn’t the one he was searching for. Dusting himself once, he paced towards the large structure in the near distance.
A large shadow fell over the man, and should he look up, a huge eagle could be seen gliding across the sky. The eagle was close to three times the size of any decently sized eagle. It seemed to be heading toward the structure as well.
"Hello there," someone said from her left. A small girl with red brown hair that had white tips was leaned against a tree. She was wearing a knee length black skirt and long brown boots. She was also wearing a light green button up top. Her dark green eyes seemed to be smiling brighter than her mouth.
"Falin? She's fine. Still doesn't like you, but I can't o anything about that." She nudged him. "What did you do, to make her hate you so much?" Hunter looked happier then she had in a while. "I am glad to here that I did a least one thing right," Kye smiled. "Did you hear who was planning on challenging me?"

"Good afternoon," a female stepped from the shadows next to the two girls. She seemed to have come out of nowhere. She had shoulder length black hair and inhumanly pale green eyes. She wore a long sleeved light pink shirt under a leather vest, and black cargo pants. "What brings two power houses like you to this side of the universe?"
(I'm sorry you guys. That took way too long to respond to. I hate testing all week last week and the week before and my family came down with illnesses ad I had to take care of everyone. I still have to because they're still all sick. And I've yet to come down with it. Hopefully I'll be better about responding sooner.)
”Hmm… I guess I’ll wait for someone to pick me. By the way, are there any vendors around who sells drinks? I’m pretty thirsty” Caden brought up, looking around before spotting the face of a familiar yet irritating man, at least for him. He turned back to the staffs, acting as if he had not seen anything.
Out of instinct, the man nearly unsheathed his blades but upon sensing no danger from the girl, he went against that idea.
”I’m just exploring honestly, I don’t really have an idea of what’s around” the man answered, resting both of his hands on the blades’ hilts.
When the man saw the eagle, he smiled and ran after it. Along the way, he managed to trip on his own foot and fell onto the ground. Once he got up, a waft of wind blew at him. He continued towards the building, a bit harder from the fall.
”Hello sweetie!” the musician went towards the girl. She wasn’t usually great with conversations back in her world but since this is a new world, she might try to change herself. Well, just a bit.
(We will get through this together! We can do this, Rachel!)
"No, who?" Hunter asked, half paying attention. "Someone I would know?"
Raven shrugged. "We were told that there was a tournament, and it seemed fun. Our side of the galaxy is rather boring."
Crow sighed. "And my sister here gets bored incredibly easy. So here we are." She held out a hand. I go by Crow. And this hyperactive idiot here is called Raven."

"Hey there!" A man with blond hair and blue eyes walked up. "You just sign up for the tournament?" he asked giving a smile. He had a long sword strapped to his side and had two throwing axes on his other side.
Out of instinct, the man nearly unsheathed his blades but upon sensing no danger from the girl, he went against that idea.
”I’m just exploring honestly, I don’t really have an idea of what’s around” the man answered, resting both of his hands on the blades’ hilts.
The girl gave a half smile. "Makes sense. Name's Cammie," she held out a hand to the man. "Would you like me to show you around and explain what's going on?"
When the man saw the eagle, he smiled and ran after it. Along the way, he managed to trip on his own foot and fell onto the ground. Once he got up, a waft of wind blew at him. He continued towards the building, a bit harder from the fall.
The eagle circled the arena area before coming down and landing softly at the entrance. All at once the eagle was gone and a young looking man stood there. He had tan short and spiky hair with dark gray eyes. He was wearing a white t-shirt and gray cargo pants. A short sword was strapped to his side and a long staff strapped to his back.
”Hello sweetie!” the musician went towards the girl. She wasn’t usually great with conversations back in her world but since this is a new world, she might try to change herself. Well, just a bit.
"Okay, gonna cut you off there," the small looking girl gave a small smile. "Call me Chail or call me Woof, but please refrain from calling me sweetie. I've had bad experiences with people calling me sweetie in the past, it's not your fault I promise. Are you headed to the tournament as well?"
(We will get through this together! We can do this, Rachel!)
"No, who?" Hunter asked, half paying attention. "Someone I would know?"
"I told you about him once, so you might remember," Kye was walking through the crowd, and oddly, people seemed to part around them. Kye seemed to take notice but only gave a sad look and continued. "Jake, the head of Ethor has been taking about challenging me one last time. He says it is going to be his last physical match."
"Tonakee," the woman gave a polite smile. "Do you two know where to sign up? Because there is no way you two just want to watch, I know your type."
"I think so, but then again, I'm terrible at names." Hunter frowned suddenly. "What do you mean, one last time?" She glanced around at the people parting around him, and her frown deepened in confusion.
"Nope, no idea," Raven said. before Crow could interject.
Crow sighed and sent her sister a look. "No, we don't. Do you mind showing us?"
"I think so, but then again, I'm terrible at names." Hunter frowned suddenly. "What do you mean, one last time?" She glanced around at the people parting around him, and her frown deepened in confusion.
"I mean that this is Jake's last match. In his words. He has been doing this for many years and is talking about stepping away from any of the power matches and possibly the strategy scenarios as well," Kye explained. "If he does actually challenge me, it would be a hard battle, Jake is not an easy opponent. What about you? Do you plan on signing up for any of the matches?"
"Nope, no idea," Raven said. before Crow could interject.
Crow sighed and sent her sister a look. "No, we don't. Do you mind showing us?"
"I have no problem showing you where to sign up. I have to head there anyways. There is a certain someone that I must challenge. This is going to be the year I beat him. He thinks he has tricks that I don't know about. Well I have a couple tricks up my sleeve this time," Tonakee replied. She started walking through the crowd stopping once to make sure the girls were following not actually looking back at them though. "This way."
"I don't know yet." She shrugged and twisted her hair around her shoulder. "I might. But I'm not super inclined to do so. Fighting is just boring now." She shivered. "And I still have phantom pains." She rubbed her stomach, where, under her shirt, a long, deep gash of a scar lay on her flesh. "It still hurts."
Crow grabbed her sister's hand and started to drag her through the crowd. "Who will you fight?" She asked, once she had caught up to the woman. "Forgive me for asking, but you seem to know this person very well."

Kye glanced at her side long and gave a sweet smile. The smile disappeared when a large man rammed his shoulder into Kye's. A deep sigh sounded from Kye who turned to the man that was glaring him down. "Get out demon boy. No one wants you here," a man close to three times Kye's size said in a gruff voice. The man then looked at Hunter. His eyes traveled up and down her and a maniacal grin appeared on his face. "Hey cutie, what are you doing hanging out with a piece of trash like this kid?"
Crow grabbed her sister's hand and started to drag her through the crowd. "Who will you fight?" She asked, once she had caught up to the woman. "Forgive me for asking, but you seem to know this person very well."
Tonakee gave a short nod. "My Shujin. Kinashki. Taught me almost everything I have ever needed to know. Is like the father I never had. And fights dirty. sixteen years I have challenged him and every time I think I have him he pulls some new dirty trick out of his hat. This year is going to be different because this year I have a few tricks of my own."
