Many millennia ago - when dragons, elves and magic still existed - the four Elementals reigned supreme. The elf Agni ruled the Fire Kingdom, the dwarf Beaumont ruled the Earth Kingdom, the giant Aither ruled the Wind Kingdom and the nymph Anahita ruled the Water Kingdom. All of these elements were visible in daily life, but only the Elemental rulers could control them. Each element had a dragon, with these dragons seemingly immortal. They would only answer to the keeper of their Element, and maybe to the keeper of another element. They would develop a special bond with their respective Elemental, and they would be hurt when that bond was severed through death.
And then life carried on. All species dwindled out, becoming no longer existent. Only humans remained, along with common animals. The Elements lay dormant, hiding away in the descendants of these rulers (the ones listed earlier). The dragons also lay dormant, remaining in the Element temple.
That is, until the descendants come along. Somehow, they've all become best friends. Despite being so different, the four of them have been best friends basically since birth. They decide to go on a hike to a temple, one that has been around for what is estimated to be a million years and yet has not given in to time.
When they arrive, they explore for a little. They find a mural on the floor, a diamond for each Element. The diamonds have insignia for each Element, but the group dismisses them. They continue moving, and reach a large room with four doors and a dragon statue at each door. They all feel called to a door, and naturally go to the door they felt called to. These doors have insignia on them as well - the same ones as on the floor in a previous room. As they reach the doors, the insignia light up…

This is a reboot of one from earlier.

GENERAL STUFF
Name: Lillie Aspen
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Questioning, at least thinks she’s biromantic
Appearance: The one thing Lillie definitely gets from Beaumont is his short stature. She’s fairly tiny for a 19 year old. While she does not have dwarfism, she’s not particulary tall either, standing at roughly 150cm. Apart from that, very little is the same.
Lillie has tanned skin, not dark but not light either. Her eyes are a simple green colour, nothing really special about them. Her hair is brunette, but she has dark green tips and subtle pale green highlights. With her hair being roughly waist length, she finds it easier to keep it in braids or a plait of some sort.
Style: Lillie absolutely adores paisley print. Her outfit usually contains a green paisley print shirt or dress, typically being a dress. She wears simple brown knee-high, faux suede boots, which she often pairs with a simple hippie vest that she found at an op shop. She always constantly wears a green pendant with a moulded leaf, being an item passed down in her family for generations.
Personality: Lillie is kind, sweet-natured and down-to-earth. She is inclusive with everyone no matter who they are, and there are very few people that she can’t stand. Lillie is a joy to be around, and many people know this. She has many friends, but only three close friends.
Likes: Nature, her family, her friends, being herself
Dislikes: When nature gets destroyed, animals being forced to relocate
Background: Lillie is the middle of three, but she’s definitely the black sheep of the family. While her family are all sporty people, with her younger sister Alithe being a theatre kid as well, it’s no surprise that nature loving Lillie doesn’t fit in. While her parents, Alithe and older brother Marko go for runs up mountains for hours, Lillie will walk through the forest and photograph everything.
Other: Surprisingly, she’s not vegan or vegetarian – she seems like she might be. Lillie knows that the animals are being bred for slaughter – this does pain her a little – so she knows that it’s a quick and painless death. She believes that vegans and vegetarians are doing more harm than good – both by taking the animals’ food sources by not eating them, and also by starving themselves of necessary protein that can only be found in meat.

Abilities: Able to control solid earth, able to control trees and plant life, able to communicate to plant life and talk to them

Ultimate Power Appearance: When Lillie is at her most powerful, not much about her changes. Her eyes become a glowing lime green, like they literally glow. Her hair becomes a pale green and doubles in length, becoming a little longer than her body length. It flows upwards, and rings of interloping vines sit in rings around it (kinda like this). Her clothes are replaced with a simple yet elegant green dress, and her shoes allow her to dig her toes into whatever soil she comes across. Her sigil becomes tattoo across her arms, almost as if embedded for years and years.

DRAGON STUFF
Name: Brier
Gender: Female
Personality: Much like Lillie, Brier is down-to-earth. She will try to ease conflict before rushing in straight on, and she is almost always the peacemaker between the other dragons – being the most level-headed. She bonds spectacularly well with Lillie, as they share similar personalities and interests (aka nature and stuff)
Species: Dilong (Chinese dragon)
Appearance: Brier is green all throughout. While the colours vary, there is little of any other colours. Her eyes are a fantastic teal, but often appear blue compared to her skin. She has a few red roses sprout from the crook of her neck, and then tip of her tail is a faint red. Her horns fade in and out of green and red, but are mostly on the red colour scheme.

Name: Adrian Smith
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual
Appearance: Adrian has pale blue eyes and is as thin as a twig. His hair is a platinum blond colour and it reaches halfway down his neck. He is relatively tall(180cm) and has a very defined collarbone(or clavicle) His lips are very thin and pale and natural have a slightly upturned curve. His skin is very pallid causing him to get sunburnt easily.
Style: If there is one thing that Adrian hates, it’s shoes. He nearly never wears shoes and when he does, it’s to get something that he really wants. He is usually seen wearing a really long, light blue coat that reaches to the ground. Underneath the he usually wears a white or light grey, long-sleeved shirt. His pants are usually dark blue or black and he always wears a baby blue belt. On the off occasions he is seen wearing shoes, Adrian wears black boots that reach halfway up his calves.
Personality: Adrian isn’t a very social person. He spends most of his time alone and reading. If someone manages to break down his walls, he is generally kind. He doesn’t lose his temper often and usually thinks before taking action. He doesn’t have that many friends, but the ones he does have he keeps close.
Likes: Being alone, his friends, reading, water, Angler Fish
Dislikes: Polluted waters, fishermen, the smell of gasoline, shoes, of course
Background: Adrian grew up, since birth, with two, non-biological, older sisters. They both were generally kind to him even though he was adopted into the family. His single father tends to take Adrian on fishing trips and Adrian always persists that they throw the fish back into the water after they catch them. When alone, Adrian likes to sit by a lake and read of draw. Every now and then, Adrian will lose grip on whatever he’s holding and accidentally drop it into the water.
Other: Adrian is an exceptionally good volleyball player. His sisters taught him how to play volleyball when he was younger and he has had a love for it ever since. Adrian can jump a height of 46cm into the air.

ELEMENT STUFF

Abilities: Able to manipulate water from any source and in all states (liquid, solid, and gas).
Weapon they master: A spear
Ultimate Power Appearance: When he is most powerful, Adrian’s hair takes on a blue tint at the ends. His eyes become a vivid ocean blue. In addition to that, a whirling circle of water that reaches up to his ankles surrounds a small area around Adrian’s feet.
DRAGON STUFF
Name: Shuǐ
Gender: Female
Personality: Unlike Adrian, Shuǐ is a rowdy soul. She is generally loving, happy, and cuddly. She is always roaming around and morphing into appearances of other types of dragons (this is an ability of a Hydrophius). She tends to strut around with her chest puffed out in a comical fashion. Shuǐ also tends to whine at the lack of attention and will roll around and whimper. When frustrated or angry(which doesn’t happen often) she will let out a loud roar.
Species: Hydrophius
Appearance: Most of the time, Shuǐ has an appearance similar to that of a sea serpent. Her scales are an azure blue colour. Shuǐ has two dark grey horns at the top of her head. The inside of her mouth, including her tongue, is all a blue colour.

Name: Freya Jasper
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Biromantic
Appearance: Being a descendant of an Elf, one would think that Freya has Fair skin, tall and thin, and has narrowed eyes. While she certainly is an elf, she has tan skin, is of average weight, and isn't the tallest. Freya is around 5'9" and has the traditional pointed ears, but also has arguably large hazel eyes with reds and oranges in them. She has freckles dotting her nose and her hair is short, black and spiky with dark red, almost maroon tips.
Style: Freya wouldn't consider herself a girly girl, but occasionally likes to get dolled up. Normally she'll be seen in one of two outfit styles, One. A casual short sleeved top with a pair of jeans or shorts and sneakers or sandals or Two. A shirt with a jacket over top, jeans or sweats, and sneakers or boots
Personality: Freya is a firecracker. She likes to live 'dangerously' which in her mind and something along the lines of sneaking out of the house with her friends. Freya speaks three languages and is fluent in two, English and Sarcasm. She is and outdoorsy girl who like to go to beaches in the summer and go hiking to the top if mountains in fall.
Likes: sitting in front of the fireplace wrapped in a large blanket, cats (they say that cats came from hell), singing
Dislikes: forest fires, oils spills, spiders and large dogs, and the colour yellow
Background: Freya was 2 when her parents died in a car accident, she was 6 when CPS came to take her away from her abusive uncle and aunt. At the age of 8 she was put into a foster family, the Jaspers. Freya was adopted by Becca and andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) Jasper not long after coming into their care. She now had an older brother, Xavier, who went by X, and two other adopted siblings, Isabella and Elliot, twins who were younger than her. The rest of her life, she lived as a normal family would, moving across the country a couple times before settling into their largest house.

Abilities: She is able to manipulate fire by channeling her powers through her hands, can create fire, heat resistant and had a 'spidey-sense' of sorts. It basically let's her know if there is and living things around her by sending their heat signature, basically she is like a thermal sensor
Weapon they master: a dual bladed staff. The staff can be split in two to form two separate weapons, a dagger and an axe. Third last
Ultimate Power Appearance: Her skin cracks and glows, like a rover of lava flowing beneath rocks, eyes blaze, the reds and oranges start to move in her eyes, making it seem like a fire was in them. Her hair bursts into a light blue and white flame, extremely hot, and her hands and arms become encased in a light blue aura

Name: Pyrrhos (Pyre or Pyro for short)
Gender: male
Personality: Pyrrhos is a fairly level minded dragon. He doesnt simply burst into flames whenever he gets mad, he bottles his anger up to use at a much more need time. He is very protective of Freya but trusts those she trusts
Species: fire dragon, or in detail, a dragon like Catylketz
Appearance: light blue eyes with small pupils; thick, hard layers of black scales; spikes across their body and large, scaly wings. This, but with black scales and a few more spikes

Name: Aurelia Aislinn Ember
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi
Appearance: Being the descendant of a giant, Aurelia is a bit on the chubby side, though her airy brown hair and her amber eyes make up for that in appearance. Her lips are on the darker side of pink, she is 5’10” and weighs 130 pounds. (reference img)
Style: Top Bottom
Personality: Aurelia is very carefree, and seems more innocent than she really is. She never lies, but she does hide the truth very carefully. She oftentimes knows more than she lets on, but she’s a great friend, if you’re lucky enough to come across her. Her carefree mood and seemingly innocence disappears in a snap if you hurt her or her friends, physically, or emotionally. Though, unlike the Fire element, she isn’t quick to attack, nor does she have anger issues. Instead of violence, or explosive arguments, she prefers to threaten. No harm done, is her motto.
Likes: The outdoors, climbing (like up mountains, cliff-faces, ect.), fall (the season)
Dislikes: Summer (the season), being cooped up in one place for too long, and having nothing to do/fidget with
Background: Aurelia has always been an only child… biologically that is. Her biological parents are giants, but they found themselves unable to care for her not long after after one by one, each of the giants in their realm died. At a young age of 12, she was discovered by a young couple, who very much wanted a child, but were told by doctors that they were unable to have biological kids. This couple was very happy, and took her in, and gave her the best life that they were able to. Not long after, Jen and David (the couple) adopted a 3 year old boy as well. The adoption agency they asked were fine with them just taking in Aurelia, as long as they made sure she went to school, so in three weeks after Aurelia was found, she was headed off to public school.

Abilities: Levitation, Aerokinesis, Nubikinesis, (Flight? If that’s not too OP ofc)

Ultimate Power Appearance: Much like Lillie, not much changes about her either. Her eyes become the color of Heaven,and her hair starts to glow a tiny bit, becoming extremely silky and soft to the touch. (Perhaps large white wings? Let me know if this is too OP, this is just a thought.)

DRAGON STUFF
Name: Aeros
Gender: male
Personality: Like Aurelia, Aeros does like being outdoors, but after seeing no giants/descendants of Aither for so long, he has become withdrawn and disconnected from the outside for the most part. Though he would be very happy and overjoyed to see another descendant of Aither.
Species: Drake okkemkin (This is what I can decipher from this image, it’s that big red dragon in the middle.)
Appearance: Large white dragon with horns, long almost-human-like fingers, a white mane, not unlike that of a horse, white wings, and a tail. His eyes are also white. Literally everything about Aeros is white. (reference image)

The thing about abandoned temples is that you aren’t supposed to enter them. They decay and ruin, and should not be safe for entrance. This is a fact that four teenagers have chosen to ignore. And four teenagers that look like they have nothing in common, for that matter.
The four enter a room with only two doors: the one they just entered and the only directly opposite it. The whole room is covered in identical murals. It was a large diamond, and it contained four smaller diamonds. Each diamond had a slight colouration and a sigil of sorts: there was a green diamond, a red diamond, a blue diamond and a white diamond. Each teenager had thoughts about it – especially since the mural was on every wall, including the ceiling – but they ignored it and continued on their ways.
Then they hit a room, one the same size as the mural room. This room was much more impressive, however, with dragon statues and four doors. Surprisingly, these doors had the same sigils from the mural room embedded into their stone.

Lillie decided to explore. These sigils on the doors intrigued her, but there was one that seemed to almost call to her. It was a strange triangle shape, and it had lines going through it. She stood in front of the door, her hand tracing the sigil.
It suddenly began to glow green, and there was the sound of cracking beside her. She moved backwards, looking to see where it came from. She saw that the dragon statue was cracking, and with a flash of light that blinded her and the other teenagers for a split second, the dragon was living and breathing.
She screamed when she saw that it’s face was right in front of her, falling backwards onto the floor. She crawled backwards as the dragon began to move closer, teal eyes staring calmly at Lillie.
Be calm, my child. I shall not hurt you. I am your bonded.

(ok so basically they feel drawn to the sigil that represents their element. When they stand in front of their respective door, the sigil will glow their respective colour (which you can hopefully guess). This causes their dragon to break out of their stone, and this is also the moment in which they are awakened as the Elemental (but they don’t realise in the moment). They have a telepathic communication with their dragon, which I would really appreciate you bold so it’s easier to tell it’s them
