"Il… Ilya?! W-What happened?!" Nathaniel rushed over to him and spotted the blood, his heart racing. He gently took Ilya's hand in his own to comfort him.
"Il… Ilya?! W-What happened?!" Nathaniel rushed over to him and spotted the blood, his heart racing. He gently took Ilya's hand in his own to comfort him.
Ilya squeezed his hand, trying to calm Nathaniel down. "It's… it's really nothing for you to worry about. I tripped a little." His side was burning now, and Ilya managed to hiss quietly instead of screaming. He really needed to get inside, but he didn't want to worry Nathaniel. "I'll be fine Honey, I promise. But… can you help me stand?"
Nathaniel nodded and helped Ilya get inside. He lay him down on the couch and searched anxiously for the first aid kit.
"It's on the kitchen counter," Ilya said weakly, peeling up his shirt and wincing at the bloody mess on his hip. "Get a wet towel too, I need to wash it out or it won't heal."
"Y-Yeah, of course…" Nathaniel quickly got the first aid kit and a wet towel and ran them over, carefully pressing the towel to Ilya's side.
Ilya hissed, cursing quietly. He took it from Nathaniel's hands and roughly scrubbed his side, setting it to the side when the pain was clean and sharp, no longer the cloying burn of iron.
"Can… can you sit up?" Once Ilya was upright, Nathaniel gently wrapped the bandages around his torso.
Ilya took shallow breaths, wrapping his arms around Nathaniel and burying his face in his neck. "You really don't have to go to all this trouble."
"But I do, though… You did this for me, and it's only fair that I do the same. And I… I-I love you, and I can't stand to see you hurt…" Nathaniel blushed a bit.
"Oh." Ilya's arm's tightened around Nathaniel. "I didn't realize you cared so much. I… um… I love you too."
Nathaniel held tightly to Ilya, but was careful not to hurt him. "I just wish I could help more…" He whispered.
"There's not much more that you can do, Honey." Ilya pulled away to look Nathaniel in the eyes. "You've given me so much already."
Nathaniel hesitated before suddenly kissing Ilya, holding him tight. He kept his eyes firmly shut and his blush only grew deeper.
Ilya yelped in surprised but quickly pushed himself upwards, returning the kiss eagerly. He pressed closer to Nathaniel, arms draped across his neck.
Nathaniel kissed him deeply, but it wasn't quite making out, considering Nathaniel didn't even know that existed. He managed to relax as he held Ilya close, not breaking away yet.
Ilya clung to Nathaniel and slowly started to pull him onto the couch to make things more comfortable. He didn't break the kiss once, needing the affection.
Nathaniel had to pull away at one point for air, but he went right back to Ilya as soon as he'd caught his breath. It felt quite strange to be above Ilya for once.
Ilya whined when Nathaniel pulled away, relaxing as soon as he came back. His hands drifted down to Nathaniel's hips, keeping him close. "You good, Baby?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm great…" His breathing hitched when his chest came down upon Ilya's. It wasn't a very hard impact in any way, shape, or form, but it still hurt his broken ribs.
Ilya winced and let go of Nathaniel, struggling to sit up. His hip burned at the movement, but he ignored it. "Shit, I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
Nathaniel nodded, not letting go of Ilya. "I'm okay… but what about you?" He stayed in Ilya's lap, looking up at him.
Ilya shrugged and pulled Nathaniel a little closer, leaning in to kiss him so he wouldn't have to answer the question.
Nathaniel reluctantly pushed Ilya away for a second. "That's not an answer, love."
Ilya pouted, flushing when Nathaniel called him 'love'. "I'll be fine, Honey." He leaned forward again, draping his arms around Nathaniel's neck. "Will you kiss me now?"
"Not until I know you're okay." Nathaniel said stubbornly, crossing his arms.
