Hiro tilted his head " Malcolm?.. okay come on.."

Bax climbed onto his shoulder and pointed to the room across from Hiro’s.

Hiro walked to the door and nocked. He yawned softly and nudges Bax with his finger

Bax did a little happy dance at the nudge.

Malcolm jumped awake at the knock, clearing his throat and looking at the door in confusion. He slowly got up, yawning, and moved to open the door, staring at Hiro with a drowsy, confused look.

" bax has something he needs?" He asked a little confused his own self

Malcolm rose an eyebrow, looking at Bax.

Bax looked at Hiro, and sent him a replay of when he said ‘I wish I could teach you to talk’. Bax then pointed at Malcolm, trying to say that the old man could help.

Hiros eyes widened " Bax says you can help me teach him to talk." He said

Malcolm just stared a moment, then hummed.

“I could give Bax an actual voice box. He’ll likely be able to learn speech just by listening to us, unless he develops some other way to learn. I haven’t used voice boxes in a while, so I’m not sure,”he replied, shrugging a bit at the last part.

Bax did a little happy dance.

Hiro chuckled softly, holding his hand out for bax, " is that what your wanting?"

Bax moved onto Hiro’s hand and flashed once at the question, doing another happy dance.

Malcolm couldn’t help a small smile at Bax’s enthusiasm. It fascinated him how some bots developed a distinct personality.

“Alright. Let me find some tools and whatnot, and I’ll work on Bax,”he said, yawning again.

Hiro nodded and stepped inside. He sat on the floor and tried to get at least get a bit more sleep

Malcolm grabbed his coat and left the room, searching the bunker for some extra tools and any spare voice boxes he had. After a little bit, he found what he needed. Though, the voice boxes were badly outdated. Oh well, he’d figure out something.

He returned to Hiro to grab Bax and to check on him.

Hiro was silently sleeping in a corner with Bax in hand

Malcolm nodded, then looked at Bax. He made a ‘come here’ gesture with his finger. The bot noticed and gently moved away from Hiro, not wanting to wake him, then crawled onto Malcolm.

With an amused smile, Malcolm headed to a work table where he set Bax down and started working on the little bot. Bax sat patiently, not moving unless Malcolm told it to.

Hiro didn't wake up untill Bax was finished. He yawned softly, looking over at malcolm

Malcolm noticed and grinned, sitting up. He then held out his hand to Bax. The bot climbed onto it, then Malcolm set him on the floor. The bot cheerily walked over to Hiro.

“Hello, Master Hiro,”Bax said. His voice was monotone, and a bit glitchy, but the bot was clearly happy.

“It’ll be a moment before the voice box smoothes out, but Bax can, obviously, talk now. And, considering the fact that he had evolved magnetism rather quickly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he evolved again at some point and it modified his voice,”Malcolm mentioned.

" that's great, and hello bax." He said and held his hand out. He nudged the bot with his finger

Bax happily climbed onto Hiro’s hand, doing a little happy dance and emitting a monotone giggle.

hiro laughed and nuzzled the small bot " its like a small child.."

Bax leaned into Hiro, emitting a happy hum.

Malcolm chuckled,”They all are.”

He looked around, wondering if his old friend was eavesdropping on them. The old spidery bot liked to do that.

hiro flashed green a moment " hello," he said softly. he didnt seem to be staring in any one spot.

(Shrug)

The spidery bot materialized next to Malcolm, which didn’t surprise the old man. It moved a leg as if to say ‘hi’, then climbed onto Malcolm, perching on his shoulder. Malcolm snickered.

“I haven’t named him, but he developed a sort of cloaking ability years ago, basically invisibility. He’s a fucking wonderful stalker,”Malcolm mentioned.

" thats.. oddly uncomfortable.." he said
