her frills start to rise again "shut up you crazy weirdo. I'm from down south, probably. i don;t know why i'm here, or how. and i won a drinking contest with… i think dwarfs or three annoying fairies… or maybe annoying birds. Wait, do talking and drinking birds exist? and i still have to figure out what happened after i stole the hat. and i have to find the hats."
Emaria's gaze narrowed into a glare. "I'm not crazy," she snapped before trying to figure out where exactly this person was from. "Eraklyon?" she asked, thinking of the only southern realm that was remotely close to Solaria and within… walking distance? Had this lizard walked here, drunk, all the way from Eraklyon? "No, they don't," she answered pointedly. "What hat?"
"Eraklyon? i've never heard of that, i mean i was born down south. and i'm pretty sure i saw an asshole bird yesterday, but i guess they're all assholes. and there were… i think five hats." she says "oh. OH NO! the asshole bird took the hats! ok so after the bird, i think there was some sort of race. i won. and that's hours of my life i'll never get back. worth it though." she says with a smile "and you're in the drunk person woods because?"
Emaria wrinkled her nose with confusion. "You've never heard of Eraklyon?" she asked skeptically. "Are you even from the Otherworld? I mean, I've been drunk before, but I'm not right now." She winced at her own words. "Shit. If you ever meet my parents, please don't tell them that. They don't know I party. I digress… I'm out here because I need space." She paused a moment, then added. "From my mom."
"huh. so where'd you come from, 'cause i've got orient myself before i leave." she says looking around, almost expecting them to jump out of a tree all of a sudden.
Emaria sighed. She could see where this was going. This lizard person was going to want Emaria to take her back to Alfea. Then her mother would know she'd be out past the barrier, then Emaria would get reamed out by her parents until curfew.
She sighed reluctantly and turned back toward Alfea's campus, making a lazy hand signal that the lizard should follow her. "Come on, I'm sure my mom can help with whatever you need help with. Where are you from anyway, if you're not from the Otherworld?"
(btw i don't really know what this place\world looks like)
(Sorry 😅 So this is Alfea College, and most of the surrounding area is somewhat-densely wooded. And here's a picture of a globe that can show the relationship between Solaria (the realm they're currently in) and Eraklyon)
(wait u can teleport between worlds right)
(Emaria? No, she can't. She needs to use a gateway ring to travel between worlds.)
(sry, i mean for my character)
(Ngl I think that would be a bit much)
(k, 'cause im not quite sure how to put my character in this universe)
(Maybe someone else with teleporting powers sent her?)
(if your character had the powers, I feel like that would be too easy 😅)
(yeah i could work with someone did it)
(awesomesauce 👍🏻 It's your go)
"oh, um well. I'm from around." she says evasively, then when they walk through the barrier, and erie looked around in awe "what fancy ass person lives here? and do they need a roommate?"
Emaria frowned. "Around where? Vague shit isn't not going to cut it with me." But she cracked a small smile at the lizard's reaction to Alfea. "It's not a house," she explained as she kept walking, approaching the barrier. "It's a school. My mom's the headmistress. My dad's the headmaster."
She took a step through the barrier, and the blue shield accepted her back into the safety she despised. Emaria huffed a sigh and kept walking. "Come on."
"Well I'm from Rinco, you probably haven't heard of it. and what's it take to get into this school?" she says still eyeing the place "what, don't like your fancy school? try being raised in a war zone." she says feeling her discomfort.
Emaria eyed the lizard warily. "Yeah, no. Haven't heard of it." She looked amused at the question. "You have to be a fairy or a Specialist," she answered. Though she noted the discomfort – and felt it too. "It wouldn't be so bad if my parents weren't breathing down my neck and watching every decision I make. By the way, what did you say your name was?"
"well, my friends call me Eire, strangers call me Vox, my enemies and wanted posters call me caimen. so you get to choose how i see you." she says faintly amused "and do you mean Specialist?"
The fairy arched an eyebrow at the lizard's different aliases and was about to respond before a voice carried over the school's grounds and reached her ears.
"Emaria Dowling!"
She immediately winced and cursed in the same motion. "Shit…"
A middle-aged woman was storming across the grass. She had hair that was intricately styled into an elegant updo, and she wore a black dress with a long tan coat over it. Her naturally calm expression was narrowed into a glare. "Ben told me you skipped his class. I went to your suite, and your suitemates say you aren't there. I searched the whole building for you, and little do I find out you're off romping in the woods again! Outside the barrier, might I add. How many times must I tell you it's dangerous out there before you listen?! I-" The woman stopped speaking abruptly as she noted the figure beside her daughter. "Who is this?" she demanded sharply.
Emaria gave a labored sigh. "This is Erie," she introduced, shooting the lizard a brief smirk. "Uh… Erie, this is my mom. Farah Dowling… Alfea's headmistress."
Farah pressed her lips together and offered a polite smile. "Hello, Erie."
she raises an eyebrow at the use of her name 'eire'. but when she turns to the shouting women, she bows deeply with her crest half raised in respect "my name is general Carden, of the vleiken clan. your daughter saw and took pity on me. m'lady please do not punish her for my actions." she said in the fanciest ass voice possible without sound being rude.
she rises half way out of the bow and looks up at Farah, subconsciously waiting for the signal a higher up would use to release formality.
Farah's eyes tracked the lizard's bow with a confused and skeptical expression. Her mouth opened, then closed, then opened again. "Um… you don't have to bow," she remarked, glancing at Emaria who was covering her mouth to unconvincingly hide her laughter. "I'm not the queen."
Emaria bit her lip behind her hand and snickered. "Luna Dowling."
Farah cut her a brief smirk before fixing her glare again. "Ignore that. I'm still cross with you," she quipped.
she righted herself. lowering her frills and staring farah in the eyes taking that as her invitation "alright well i need someone to point in Alenroi's direction. then i can find my way from there. unless you guess you guys need a new student?" she says soundind a bit hopeful and dropping all formality. "and as long as answering questions, what the styx is a 'headmistress'."
(forgot to tell u, she has a rapier, a badge and thin delicate cape slightly frayed around the edges and it only reaches her lower back, just so u know what she actually looks :)
