I'm writing a story with a non-linear plot line, with events out of sequence. I have it jumping between past events that influence present actions of a character (a character meeting another one chapter, and the next chapter as a flashback to an experience of Character A that impacted how they are acting around character B in the present timeline.) What are everyone's opinions on this concept and can anyone give advice or some tips on how to best write it?

Set it up in the first part. Perhaps mention a missing detail that you can add into the pass to signal to the readers. But I might need more info to give you a better reply.
