For the story I am currently working on, a bit of background information needs to be put in pretty early on. I've considered starting off the prologue with the main character describing to a secondary character/friend how things happened, and what they can remember. Another method of doing this that I've also considered is a narrative for the prologue that tells what happened, and how long ago it happened. Without this explaining what happened, the story probably wouldn't make much sense and I'd end up doing lots of flashbacks.
Because I haven't been able to decide this, I haven't done much more than making characters and add details to the plot. How do you think I should go about adding this to the story?
