"I did! All night, I didn't sleep trying to call and text him. He ignored all of them." He pulled out his phone, showing her the hours of heartfelt or concerned text he had sent starting from around 9 o'clock at night until about 7 am this morning. "I tried, and he never answered me."
She rolled her eyes " I knew this was a mistake" she mumbled
"What was? What is going on Caroline?" He asked, getting really frustrated. "You have to tell me, what's wrong with Collins."
" we were we were a mistake!" She yelled
"We aren't a mistake! Why do you keep saying that!?" He yelled back, his control slipping from his grasp like water.
" because it's true" she said clenching her hand into a fist
"It is not! Until you give me a legitimate reason, I'm going to argue with you." He hissed at her, knowing any calm he had was gone.
She groaned, "we don't fit all right?" She yelled
He held his fist back, until she yelled that. He stopped himself from punching her, but wasn't in control much otherwise. He slapped her, and slammed the car door. He stormed off to his motorcycle, throwing his helmet aside. He pulled out of the driveway, and tore down the street.
Caroline's head jerked to the side and she brought a hand to her cheek
She quickly drove off speeding past Brad her vision blurry from the tears streaming down her face
Brad didn't care. He was in an awful mood, running on zero sleep, and frustration. He was being impulsive, and stupid for tossing his helmet aside and starting to speed.
Caroline drove on the highway for a little while on our way to the hospital she was still crying her hands clenching the wheel she wasn't paying attention and that's when the semi slammed into her crashing her into another semi
Brad was following her, not knowing why. And he saw it all happen. The two trucks collided into Caroline, and he felt his heart drop. "Caroline!" He screamed pulling over and getting off his Harley. "Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" He cried running over to her car once they had all come to a stop. "Caroline!!"
Caroline's car was smashed to say the least but she she was strapped in her seat belt digging into her neck there is blood running from her head and her nose a lot from her nose actually her head was tossed to the side
"Caroline! Please, no, no…" He yanked on the door, panicked. "Please…" He cried seeing the door was locked. He pulled out his pocket knife, and started banging on the glass to break it.
She had a few bruises on her neck and arms but the only one she had on her face was on her cheek that was starting to form where Brad slapped her
"Come on, come on!" He growled, getting angry but still had tears coming to his face. "Please… I can't loose you…" He whispered seeing a crack in the glass forming.
If you got close enough to Caroline you can see the blood seeping through on the right side of her sleeve shirt
He beat against the glass, a man got out of the semi from behind, and put an arm on his shoulder. "Kid, calm down." He said sternly. "That's my girlfriend you idiot! I can't just calm down." Brad snapped pushing the guy away and stabbing one last time shattering the glass.
Bits of glass fell some on the outside of the car and some on the inside on to Caroline
Brad reached in, unlocking the door. He threw the door open, and unbuckled the seat belt. "Please, no Caroline!" He cried, pulling her out of the car into his arms. "P-please…"
Caroline was out like dead out of course she wasn't dead
"Call the police, or fire department, or anything!" He demanded the truck driver. "It's the lest you can do-" He muttered the last bit, slumping to the ground with Caroline in his arms.
A few minutes past and Caroline gently open her eyes but immediately shut them because Brad had her in position where she was staring right into the sun
Brad hadn't caught sight of her, he was hugging her close, unable to see her face.
