" I don't want to lose people" she said.

Thomas smiled softly, figuring out where she was going. "And what people?"

she looked up at him with sad eyes

"Me? Brad? Lilly?" Thomas asked, listing a few people he knew.

she nodded resting her head on his chest

"Collins, Amber, your friends in the gang?" He continued to list off, stroking her hair.

she nodded gripping his shirt.

Thomas nodded weakly, still petting her softly. "And what follows loseing them?"

"I would have nothing thomas" she said.

Thomas let his smile drop, continuing to rock her back and forth in his arms. "And what scares you about having nothing?"

"Because I need something" she said

"Why do you need something?" Thomas asked softly. "If you're dead, do you really need something?"

"Because I need that ok?" she asked

"But I'm asking why. It's important to know, if I should come with you." He whispered, kissing the top of her head.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

“I…I don’t know. When and if you go, I don’t have many friends. You’re what I have.” Thomas mumbled softly.

she smiled softly holding his hand

“I guess I’m just being stupid.” Thomas shrugged a bit.

she shook her head "No your not"

"I kind of am… but it doesn't matter. We should get going before Brad comes." Thomas whispered, taking her head to lead her on.

"Can You Drive I can't see through my tears" she said

"Sure thing, Caro." Thomas hummed, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead before leading her on to her car.

She got in the passenger seat crossing her arms and letting out a shaky breath and a sniffle

Brad was sitting in the back, seeming to be zoned out completely as the two got in. Thomas glanced back at Brad, as he clicked his seat belt in place. "You buckled?" He asked Caroline, softly with a smile.

She nodded with a frown
