"I've been trying Caroline. You aren't the first girl I ever dated, if that isn't too much of a shock to you. And believe it or not, I know what love is. Being with you, I feel loved. And I love back." He explained, trying his best not to snap at her.

She scoffed " I can't I just can't you do you Brad" she said

"I knew it. You are mad at me. For something I don't even know about." He sighed, sliding her off of his lap. "Until you want to tell me what I did, so I can try and fix things, I think I might actually try and eat something today."

" I'm not mad! I'm frustrated ugh God why don't I do everyone a favor and jump in front of a bus" she said to no one in particular

Letting out a soft sigh, he felt his point was only proven further. "Babe, I'm not mad at you, I just want to give you space. I'm sorry I thought you were mad at me. If you don't want me to leave, I can stay here." He whispered. "Please don't hurt yourself."

She wiped the tears from her eyes and sniffled " no just go eat"

"Caroline… what do you want me to do? Don't think about me, just think about you." Brad whispered, taking her hand in his. "What can I do for you?"

"I want you to think about who you love and who you wanna spend your life with" she said

"You." He said as soon as she finished her statement. "There's no questioning it, I love you. I want to spend my life with you."

" How do you know?" She asked

"Knowing you love me, that's a big one. The feeling I get every time I see you. How I feel every time I see your gorgeous smile. The list goes on and on." Brad whispered, pressing a kiss to the back of her hand.

" haven't you ever felt that way with other girls" she said

Shaking his head, he gave her a soft smile. "Nope. I've never gotten flustered around other girls. You're the first one." Brad hummed, lacing their fingers together.

She stroked the base of his thumb with her thumb

"Are you reassured? I can keep going." Brad whispered, leaning forward just slightly.

"No you…You don't have to" she said

"I can though. Do you need more reassurance?" Brad asked again, watching their hands laced together.

"That other girl I dated, yes I loved her. But not the way I do to you. There's something different. You just… you make me feel best when you're around. Even when we fight, I never feel hated." Brad whispered, cupping her cheek in his hand.
