Brad wasn’t asleep, just curled up in the blankets. At the shift in pressure on one side of the bed, she rolled over to face her. “Hey gorgeous.” He said softly.

" Hey" she said as a smile graced her lips

Brad smiled back, pecking her lips. “Where’s Thomas sleeping? Is he on the couch?” He asked her softly, sliding his arm around her waist.

" I bought him dinner and took him home" she said

“Babe… if you did that for my sake, you really didn’t need to. I was just being pouty.” Brad sighed, cupping her cheek. ’It's too late anyways…’

" I thought he'd sleep better on a bed" she said stroking his cheek

“Caro-baby…” He sighed, pressing his lips to hers. “You’re too thoughtful honestly.”

She smiled pecking his cheek

“Are you tired, or did you just come to bed to see me?” He asked her softly.

She bit her lip " to see you" she said

Snickering, he sat himself up in the bed. “If I’m being honest, I’m not really tired either.”

" I'm not leaving" she said

“Hmm?” He asked her confused, stretching in place. “What do you mean?”

" from the bed" she said

“I wasn’t going to make you,” Brad smiled sweetly, leaning down to peck her forehead.

She smiled at him

“How was your day today? Before I came along and made it better of course.” Brad teased, pecking the tip of her nose as well.

"It was alright" She said

“What made it alright? Did something bad happen?” He asked her softly, running a hand through her hair.

"I fell off my porch"

“Well how did that happen?” He asked her softly, trying not to snicker just slightly.

" because there was a gunshot and I was scared" she pouted

"Who would shoot in your neighbor hood? Isn't it suppose to be a nicer one?" Brad asked her softly, catching sight of Caroline's phone lighting up. "You're super popular tonight."

Caroline picked up her phone looking at the notification

It was another Snapchat notification, from Emmy. Who said anything about a boy? She questioned, a second one popping up underneath. If it was Brad, I'm going to kill him.
