"N-no, I… I've felt so awful after that… it's my own fault." He whispered weakly, swallowing the lump in his throat.

"do you still have feelings for me?" She asked

Shaking his head slightly, he frowned down at her. "No offense, but I lost feelings for you awhile ago. I knew I needed to not be the obnoxious ex-boyfriend."

She smiled " it'll be okay Thomas just stay alert" she said

"W-what do you mean, Caroline?" Thomas asked her softly. He seemed rather confused.

" just be careful" she said and kissed his cheek

"Careful with what?" He asked her softly, sucking in a deep breath from the soft kiss. "I'm still not following."

" don't worry?" She said holding his hands

"O-oh… I… I'll try my best." Thomas told her, glancing down at their hands. "Won't your boyfriend be upset… with all of this?"

" he'll be ok" she said

"Does he not get jealous easily?" Thomas asked, trying to remember Brad better. He seemed pretty jealous when Thomas and her had been dating.

" oh yeah he is but he's not here" she said

"Does he know you are?" Thomas asked her warily, backing up from her.

She nodded " yes he does I would never hurt Brad this is the stuff I do with his best friend" she said

"O-oh… I… I just don't want to get hurt, or hurt you." Thomas said softly, coming back in for her gentle touch. So desperately he wanted to feel it.

She smiled and petted his cheek

Gently his eyes closed, and he leaned into her hand with a slight sigh. "I…I'm so pathetic."

" no " she said " tell me what you want me to do?" She said

"There's nothing you can do Caroline… I'm a hopeless case." Thomas mumbled, resting his hand on hers.

She smiled gently " what can I do to make you feel better" she said

"Get me a girlfriend." He joked, opening his eyes lightly to look down at her. "Or you know, make me go to bed and eat."

" here come over" she said

"Like… to your house?" He asked her confused, stepping back from her.

She nodded " you can sleep and I'll get you some food"

"I-I don't want to intrude in your house. Besides, my dad should be home soon. He'd probably freak out if I wasn't here." Thomas tried to explain, biting on his lip.
