(Are…are you asking me?)
"Where do you think you're going? You haven't even asked!" His father said rather sharply. "I…I was going to move into an apartment. With a friend." He mumbled, kicking back and forth. "A friend? Which one!?"
( should she go inside)
Caroline waited patiently in the car playing a game on her phone
(I mean, she can. Though Emmy (Brad's sister) would probably want to talk to her, and keep her from going upstairs XD)
"C-Caroline?" Brad said weakly, crossing his arms over his chest. His father's jaw dropped, and he starred at his son in total disbelief. "No. You are not moving in with her." He said firmly, watching his son closely. "But Dad! I'm 18! Don't you think I can make my own choices?"
Caroline sighe getting out of her car she moved her sunglasses that were resting on her eyes to her head behind her ears she got up and walked over to the door knocking on it
"No, I don't. You just got attacked the other day for being in a gang. That was your own choice and it was incredibly dumb!" His father yelled at him, pressing his index finger to Brad's chest. "I'm not going to have an idiot for a son."
At hearing the door, Emmy hopped up from the couch, running to get the door. "Hello?"
"Caroline? Hi! How are you?" Emmy asked with a grin, ushering her inside the door. "What are you doing here?"
Brad starred at his father in the same disbelief, he had moments ago. "I'm not an idiot!" He cried out, hurt by the cold words. "I want to protect all of you, by getting out of the house. I want to protect Emmy. She got hurt, so I'm trying to fix this!"
"I'm supposed to pick up Brad" she said
"Pick up Brad? Whatever for?" Emmy asked leading her over to the couch. "It'll be a miracle if you can get him out of his room, he's been in there all day."
With a heavy huff, his father stormed out of the room, into his own room. Thus leaving an upset Brad, standing there. "I don't need him. I never did." He sputtered, roughly finish packing.
"he didn't tell you that Brad and I are moving in together" she said
"You two are?" Emmy asked surprised, but still delighted. "That's awesome! I'm happy to hear that." She smiled, sitting herself down on the couch. "It explains why he locked himself in his room all day at least."
Caroline smiled taking her sunglasses off
"Why don't you go check on him, dad just went upstairs a couple minutes ago." Emmy hummed, pointing to the stair case. "I'm sure you know where his room is, third door on the left."
Caroline hesitantly went upstairs and knocked on brads door
"Stupid dad, stupid me." He muttered, not hearing her knock on the door as he continued to fold up the shirts he had. "I can too make my own choices. I'm not an idiot."
She had heard him inside in walked inside the room
"I know how to handle myself, even if I make mistakes." Brad continued to mutter things to himself, trying to blink back the stinging tears he had. His father had gotten to him, and it had stung.
Jumping at the sound of her voice, he whipped around with a smile. "Hey babe! Didn't hear you come in, how are you?" He asked her, going to pull her into a sweet kiss on the lips.
She cupped his cheeks " don't listen to him your an amazing person and I love you" she said
"What are you talking about?" He asked, trying to cover up his hurt. "I love you too, and find you pretty amazing. But is there a reason why?" So badly he wanted to cover this up, but he wasn't sure he could.
"I heard what you were saying I take it your dad's upset… You don't have to do this you don't have to move in with me" she said
"If you heard what I was saying, you'd know I want to leave. He'll never leave me alone if I don't leave." Brad whispered, holding back his tears. "I want out, please let me be with you."
" ok…" She said and nodded " ok"
Pulling her into a hug, he buried his face in the crook of her neck. "You can head down stairs, I'll start bringing my stuff." He mumbled, sucking in a deep breath.
