" love you" she said a bit coldly not looking away from the window

He shied away from her, pulling open his door with a slight frown. He had screwed things up, and when she felt like yelling at him, he wasn't going to argue with her.

She sighed closing her eyes a tear escaping rolling down her cheek

Shutting his door, he leaned against it, letting an exasperated groan escape his lips. Both hands pressed hard against his face, he didn't know what was wrong with him. He didn't even like Thomas! Why on earth was he defending the guy? With that engraved in his mind, he beat his fist against his forehead in frustration.

She took another deep breath and slid back in her seat

"I'm such an idiot!" He growled at himself, still beating his forehead with his fist. It was beginning to hurt, but he wasn't ready to stop. He was beyond mad at himself.

Caroline quietly got out of the car not making a sound

"What's wrong with me!?" He asked with a growl, feeling tears running down his cheeks. He slumped his shoulders, and slid down to the ground. He was tired, and feeling defeated.

She gently walked over to him and crouched in front of him

His face was in his hands, pressed hard against his face. He didn't hear, or see Caroline, being too mad at himself to notice. "I'm an idiot and a terrible boyfriend." He muttered. Even if he knew she was there, he would probably say it, because he felt like it was the truth.

She gently grabbed his wrist pulling them away from his face

It took him a moment to register what happened, and who she was. His heart sank even more when he figure it out. His eyes were already red, and his face was shiny with his tears.

" baby?…."

He shook his head, lowering it. "I don't deserve to be your boyfriend."

" don't be ridiculous baby" she said

"Please, you know I've screwed up so many times already." He whispered, trying to hold back more tears. "You deserve so much better."

She kissed his forehead gently

He couldn't anymore. They came, streaming down his cheeks. "You do so much for me, I can barely keep up." Brad continued to cry, wishing he wasn't doing so in front of Caroline. He felt weak and inconsequential, just another drop in the bucket.

She sighed wrapping her arms around him burying her head in the crook of his neck

Pulling her closer to his chest, he forced himself into just trying to catch his breath. He couldn't though, all he did was sniffle and choke on air.

" I love you" she said

He didn't respond. He couldn't. His thoughts, were a mess. His heart felt shattered. Nothing felt real, everything was numb to him. Brad wasn't even sure she really truly loved him. Though he should know.

" Brad?…" She questioned

He waited before answering, trying to blink back his tears. "Y-yeah?" Brad croaked out, holding her closer.
