She smiled and kissed him

He let her lips rest there for a moment more, before pulling away to focus on driving. "You're going to get me a ticket." He snickered, as the light turned to green. "There should be somewhere to change when we get to the beach, if you want to." He told her, resting his hand on her thigh, and driving with one hand on the wheel. "Also, I don't know what your sister grabbed for a swimsuit, so whatever it is, I had no say in it." He mentioned, turning down a neighborhood rode.

" of course" she said

He chuckled, gently squeezing her leg with a smile. "You think you want to go swimming?" He asked her, scoping out the visual field in front of him.

" maybe" she said

"You feeling alright babe?" He asked her, noticing her lack of words. She seemed to be increasingly quiet.

" Yeah I'm alright . . .Just thinking" she said

"What about?" He asked, popping his lips, glancing at her while he drove.

" Thomas…" She said

"W-what? Why about Thomas?" He asked, feeling a little jealous. He tried to hide it though, rather successfully at that. She was suppose to be out on a date with him, Brad Hoax. But of course she was thinking of someone else.

" oh that's not what I meant I just mean I've been trying to figure out why he was working with Felix" she said

“Oh…” Brad trailed off, feeling embarrassed he had thought anything bad of it. “Are you sure that’s what was happening?”

" he told me that he told Felix where I was he said they're coming" she said

“Was it a misunderstanding though?” Brad asked, giving her a serious frown.

She looked over at him with an annoyed expression

"Come on babe, I'm just asking. I wouldn't be defending him otherwise the fact things could be partially in the dark." He told her, turning onto a sandy road.

" he almost killed me" she said

“Thomas didn’t. He tried to save you.” Brad pointed out.

Caroline rolled her eyes and looked out the window

"Are you mad at me now?" Brad asked softly, pulling into a parking space off the beach.

"No…" She said

"Babe, if you are, I want to know." He told her, shutting off the car.

She shook her head

He sighed, taking her hand in his. "Love you babe."
