"Why? Why are you so determined to wait?" He asked, reaching out to take her hand.
"Why? Why are you so determined to wait?" He asked, reaching out to take her hand.
" because it's bad Brad really bad!" She said jerking away
"How bad could it be? If it's that bad, then you need to tell me now." He said, keeping his cool.
Caroline sighed " Brad…""
"Please Caroline, what's going on?" He asked once more, folding his hands together.
" I have panic attacks anxiety attacks I'm highly depressed and I'm on suicide watch" she said
He nodded gently, lowering his head. "What's causing all this?" He asked, keeping his head downcast.
" I ve been diagnosed with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease" Caroline said
"That's what's causing everything?" He asked, standing back up.
She shook her head " I'm just stressed lately" she said
"With what?" He asked another question, taking her hands in his.
"Everything and now my lungs are failing me" she said
"Well, what can I do to fix that?" He asked, pulling her close by the waist.
" can you hold me…just for a minute?" She asked
"As long as you'd like." He smiled, bringing her over to the couch. Sitting down, he pulled her in.
She rested her head on his shoulder
"Anything you want to talk about?" He asked, relaxing back in the couch.
She shook her head " No" she said
"Alright love, then we'll relax." He whispered, feeling fatigue start to catch up to him.
" I love you so much more than anything Baby" she said
"I…I love you…too." He mumbled, his head falling back. He hadn't slept well, even with Caroline by his side. He was so tired, half asleep right here.
" Go to sleep my love" she said
He didn't bother to argue, and just went limp. He was gentle snoring, his breath warm.
Time passed and Caroline had shifted falling asleep the covers over him and she had her head in his lap asleep
Slowly blinking out of sleep, he looked to her. "Pretty princess." He smiled softly.
