She shook her head

"I'm not in control of my life, Caroline." He told her, taking her hand.

" nethier am I" she said coldly pulling her hand away harshly

Thomas whimpered some, backing away from her. "Why are you upset with me?"

" you don't tell someone you love them and not mean it"

"I do love you, what makes you say otherwise?" He asked, a little hurt she would assume such things.

" I get it you can't be with me maybe you can't or you don't want to…" She said

"No, that's not what I said." He told her, taking her hand once more. "I said I can't kiss you forever. I never said I couldn't be with you."

She hugged him " I'm sorry I'm just finding reasons any reason to convince you not to fall in love with me because I can't risk getting hurt again" She said

"I won't hurt you, I promise." He whispered, kissing her cheek. "And if I break that promise, break my nose."

" I'm not breaking your nose that's mean" she said

"Breaking your heart is worse." He chuckled, kissing her neck.

She layed her forehead on his shoulder

"I'm sorry if I do hurt you, remember that." He told her.

She nodded against him

"Should we head back? Or head somewhere to dry off?" He whispered.

" inside I'm getting cold" she said

"Alright, let's go then." He said, scooping her up in his arms.

She nuzzled up to him in his arms

"You comfortable there?" Thomas asked her, walking down the path.

" yeah I am" she said closing her eyes

"Then relax and enjoy the ride." He whispered, carrying her towards the school.

She nodded as he carried her to the school like he was her prince charming

Once back at the school, he set her on the ground. "Here we are, m'lady." He hummed.

" we still have seven minutes until art" she said
