Hey guys! I want some advice. You see on Pinterest or whatever things like what your OTP can do together and the like, but ones on simple good friendship that doesn't end in romance are sadly short. Any advice or suggestions are wanted and appreciated. I want things like situations and displays of affection etc. along with anything you feel should be plopped here. Thanks!

@RedTheLoveless

  • Getting each other random gifts of their favorite things, especially if they are feeling down.
  • Plenty of inside jokes.
  • Always gotta have that secret handshake.
  • Being approached by strangers saying what a cute couple you two are, and the awkward conversation afterwards explaining "No we're best friends."
  • Playing pranks on mutual friends.
  • Playing pranks on each other.
  • Platonic greeting and farewell hugs.
  • One helping the other calm down after finding them alone and having a mental breakdown.
  • Extreme surprise birthday parties.
  • Odd requests that they don't question at this point in this relationship.
  • One teasing the other about something embarrassing that happened years ago why are you bringing that up now how dare you.
  • Knowing each other's families well. Being considered the "adopted next child" by relatives.
  • Teasing each other but as soon as another person teases one of them, Fight Mode is initiated.
  • Secret signals and code words remembered since childhood games were played.
  • Made up games that the two know intimately and play well all the time.
  • "Ha! You owe me 100 bucks!" "I CALL A REMATCH!" "Ready to lose again, huh?" "I WILL LITERALLY FIGHT YOU"
  • Wrestling matches.
  • Nerf gun wars.
  • Pillow fights.
  • Tickle rounds.
  • Dares that lead to dressing up in ridiculous costumes and pictures being taken to be posted on every social media available for a full day.
  • Actual fights that lead to a day of silence before talking and reconciling.
  • Pretending to adopt random items as their children and becoming defensive when other people question why a bowling pin is their son.
  • Lying on the spot for each other.
  • Pretending to be dating partners when a creeper/stalker won't leave the other alone.

@Starfast group

  • Tagging each other in memes on social media
  • Buying snacks for a sleepover and coming out of the grocery store with so much junk food that it looks like a 5 year old did all the shopping.
  • Pillow forts
  • Bonding over things that you mutually hate
  • "Don't tell this to anyone else, but…"
  • Deep conversations at 3am
  • The exact opposite of the above: Laughing hysterically at something that's probably not even that funny at 3am

@HighPockets group

  • Really weird inside jokes
  • 'Remember that time when [embarrassing moment]'
  • Inside jokes that make others question your sanity
  • Weird friendship-petnames (example: Turzelle and I say 'comrade' instead of stuff like 'bro')
  • Nicknames only friends can get away with, or first names you only let your friends call you.

@HighPockets group

ALSO!

  • Friendship Trolling (the best example I can think of is the 'Who is this…." from Seinfeld)
  • Stealing their food
  • Buying them food and not expecting to be paid back
  • Awkward memories from kindergarden

@Euric_Knight

  • Greeting each other with "WHAT IS UP MY RADICAL BROSKI"
  • Hugs that turn into choke holds
  • Both learning a different language so they can talk to each other without anyone (even the other people in their friend group) knowing what they're saying (My best friend and I are actually doing this. We're both learning Russian so we can talk to each other secretly)
  • Going to each other's house and just sitting around looking at memes and occasionally sending them to each other
  • Matching outfits
  • One friend taking half an hour just to showcase a new poster/merch item they got to the other
  • So many references
  • The others have already said this, but seriously. INSIDE JOKES.
  • Giving totally dumb gifts to each other for birthdays (for example, a bunch of small American flags, toy horse figurines, a bob ross chia pet)
  • One friend is volunteering to do something, the other friend catches wind of this and helps
  • Going to the other's house to make cookies, then just leaves once they're done

Giving totally dumb gifts to each other for birthdays (for example, a bunch of small American flags, toy horse figurines, a bob ross chia pet)

An off-shoot of this; but my friend and I like to make each other cards for both our birthdays and valentines day that are based on inside jokes and stuff we like. Results in stuff like this:
