forum Alternate words equivalent to king?

I want a king, but I don’t want it to be something that common. What are some titles that are equivalent to a king’s position?

"Emperor" "Monarch" and "Sultan" are the closest matches according to thesaurus.com

There's a couple others in there that might work, although some are a little better than others (not sure that "overlord" and "tycoon" are really the right word to use in this case).
Also, if you're writing a fantasy, you could always come up with your own term?
