Yeah, Hell, y'know, the underworld, domain of death and woe, where the damned are punished? Hell is either an underworld, or a place where the wicked and damned are punished! I'm curious! How does it work in your story?

Never actually thought about it before, though I imagine it's a darker spot in the spirit's plane of reality.

Yeah, I find everything has turned into a plane of reality…

All I need is some way to discern which is which…

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

The Shadowlands. Where the dead may do whatever they please for eternity. There they learn the natural consequences of their actions. Nothing more, nothing less. It is horrifying.
Then there are the Fire Pits. But only the greatest evils are stored there. As far as I know no humans are there.

Well, in my story, there's reincarnation. I guess you could say there's a purgatory-type state, because individuals have to be judged so it can be determined what circumstances they will be born into in the next life. There's no official "hell," but I guess you could say the equivalent is being born into a bad circumstance.

Wym?

I need to actually draw out a map of the different planes of reality, since there are quite a few, I generally differentiate by how they're accessed.. but my world is like the english language. The so-called "rules" are really only guidelines.

So you have a soft magic system? Very cool!

I wouldn't say it's soft… I mean, there are hard and fast rules I stick too, but it's how magic can be used, and the fact that combination magic makes things haywire that gets even me confused…

So I guess the proper word is chaotic!

Yes. That is the term. Definitely the term.
