my world is called rifendale. most things are undecided, and i 5 books\projects in this universe so getting the worldbuilding done is kind of important. but i mostly want to rant and get advice about my super awesome world!

and after it's out of my system, i'd LOVE to hear about the great stories y'all are writing :)

so it's basically our world but MILLIONS of years in the future(not sci-fi, here me out). so the general lore is the earth is literally alive but has been 'asleep', and in the future humans pollute that everything almost died so the world so much she 'woke up' again, and sort of flooded the whole place with magic to keep it from dying. so now as "MILLIONS of years in the future" the natural resources replenished(ores, periodic elements and so on) and also two new deities were made to help keep everything in check, Rifae and Avoron(their human names). rifae made the fae naturally, avoron made the demons who also have their own realm, the dwarfs, halflings and gnomes are magical human species offshoots and the anthro animals(i don't have a name for them yet) went through a magic induced hyper evolution. that's the very basics, hope you could understand all that lol.

I like the premise, pretty unique for a fantasy I think. I'm a big fantasy guy, so I like where this is going so far.

That sounds really cool! I see that the world is set millions of years in the future so this probably isn't possible, but I was curious if there are any remains of humanity as it used to be left? Possibly buried deep somewhere?

this thread was made a while ago, so it's changed quite a bit.
i think the last thing i settled on was about 4.500 yrs after the "earth woke up", and about 5.000 yrs total. for that time frame, yes, evidence of the "old world" could be found pretty easily, although all computers and other electrical devices are compromised, so people wouldn't really know much history from back then.
however, in the first scenario there would be much less to go on but it'd still be there. i'd say it'd be about as difficult to find or decern as old fossils and stuff. in both scenarios there'd most likely to be museums and researchers dedicated to it, but since that era of history didn't exactly work out, the general consensus is to leave the past in past.
