Hey guys looking to build couple characters wanted you thoughts(experiences if your comfortable) on how you would personally handle trauma.

First character(recommend ladies answer): You’re married with husband, you guys have been together for a long while and connect on a deep mental/ spiritual level. He dies(is killed actually). If you had the ability or tech to bring him back, would you? Why?

Second character(recommended guys answer): You’re married. Your wife had a stillborn a few months ago. There is break in at your house and your wife and daughter are held hostage. They give you a choice to either kill your wife or daughter. What would you choose? Why?

So for the second one, it depends on how old the daughter is. If she's between newborn and a year old, then I would probably have the daughter killed. If she was over that age, I would have the wife killed. But at the same time if I have the daughter killed, the wife might never forgive me, and never have kids again. So it's kind of iffy. I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation and I hope I never have to face it.

@Masterkey

I would be even more heartbroken if he came back in pain, came back as someone else, etc etc. People die. That's just how it works. You just can't bring people back. Fullmetal Alchemist covers that :P

there wouldn’t be any “major” consequences. It kinda returns to ethics.

@HighPockets group

  1. No. I wouldn’t bring my spouse back from the dead because there’d be some consequences.
  2. I’d choose to die myself instead of allowing my family to be killed.

Not an option. If you were to do that. They’d be killed either way. Do you still stick with that decision?

@Masterkey

I'd honestly choose my spouse to be killed because the child hasn't gotten to live as long. I'm sure my spouse would agree with that, too.
