It's my parents 20th anniversary so I thought I'd share this story that I call "How I Met Your Mother But It's How My Dad Actually Met My Mom."
So my mom's (K) best friend (T) was dating my dad's (MW) best friend (MS). MW and MS worked together at a roller-skate rink. One day, T went to visit MS while he was at work. K was like "whatever" and decided to third-wheel. She had found out earlier that her grandfather had about 24 hours to live. While at the skate rink, K and MW started talking. She mentioned her grandfather and MW made a slightly inappropriately-timed joke and made K laugh for the first time since she found out about her grandfather. Fast forward a little and K and MW are dating. Fast forward some more and they're married. Fast forward some more and I exist.
So in summary, it's okay to third-wheel. That's how my mom met my dad and they've been together ever since.

The-Man-in-the-Fog
I have an antagonist that is known simply as "The-man-in-the-fog". He's considered as an urban legend in the story that he's in. Anywhere he goes/appears at fog follows him. He doesn't speak, and has sharp pointy teeth. He carries an axe around with him, and uses it on his victims. After killing his victim he decapitates them and leaves with their head.

I just pulled a random gray hair from my head…. I'm not even in my late 20s yet, I shouldn't be getting gray hairs yet!

FUN STORY OF HOW MY GRANDMA WAS UNINTENTIONALLY A SAVAGE
So in my area, there's a little contest thing called Distinguished Young Woman. You're nominated if you have consistently good grades, and in high school, my mom got nominated. (this was the 80s or 90s for reference) In the contest, you have to perform a talent. So my mom was explaining the contest to my grandma (her mom) and mentioned that you had to have a talent. And my grandma straight-up replied, "But you don't have a talent!"
(my mom entered anyway and she didn't win, but says she had a good time and that one of the judges personally complimented her talent afterwards)
