I mean, honestly, if he knows, just talk to him about it. I was on the opposite side of this situation, and I was anxious to have him talk to me because we were friends and I didn't want things to be awkward.
I believe that if you really want something to happen, you should say something, but only if you are prepared for all the possible outcomes. I have a crush on a friend of mine. I wrote him a letter and I’m considering giving it to him on Friday. I have faith that if we don’t end up together, then we will remain friends. He knows that I have a crush on him, and he hasn’t said anything, so that’s why I think it will be okay.
If you feel like if it ends in rejection you will still be okay, then definitely go for it.

This isn't advice, but it's something I do when I have a crush on someone. Avoid eye contact, anti stalk them, walk really fast when they get near so I won't have a heart attack and then have a melt down at the end of the day for doing all that

Oof this sounds so familiar. Again, I was on the other side of the situation in my case (aka his side), and talking about it helped. It doesn’t have to end in dating, but it can. Definitely say something to him though. I don’t mean a confession or anything, just like a, “Hey, we’re good, right? Nothing’s awkward?” And if you’re not ready for a relationship that’s cool. If things turn out differently, and you do start dating, that’s cool too.
