To me, writing is magical. I'm taking words, each with their own meaning, and joining them together to create a story that has never been told before. I'm imbuing these words with power and emotion that can touch a person in a way that few other things can. What about you guys? How would you explain how it feels to write?

Writing is something powerful. I can take the lives of many people and the livelihood of areas into my seemingly useless hands. I seem weak and small, but I am a writer. Writing is determination for me. It helps me live, and it’s a way of life for me.

Writing to me is a way to express how I feel and what's going on in my life, or write out my fantasies and what I dream about. It's the only way I can clearly communicate my thoughts and feelings to people. Who I am is reflected in my work. That's why I'm so reluctant to show people a lot of my writing.
Also it's fun

Writing is my escape, if it's been a hard day I write, It's a place where I'm in control and no one can tell me what to do and what can and can't happen. Writing is total and complete freedom.

Writing is the medium through which I express the worlds and people I've created in my mind. It's having late night chats in my head going on between characters and reluctantly getting out from under the covers to copy it down. It's the joy of creation. Of painstaking typing, deleting, deliberation, and groaning unintelligibly. But then it's the delight at going back and reading what YOU made. Seeing that YOU did that. The world that only existed in your brain is now out into the world. It's amazing.
