So recently I've been thinking about a side project that I want to finish after Usotm (My main project.) and I had the idea of making this side project a second generation of Usotm.
It's going to be about a boy who can see emotions and I could make him the son of James and Audra from my first project. Personally, I think it'll add more to the magic system and make more sense.
What do you think of these kinds of series? Do they drag on and are boring to you or what? All kinds of feedback is welcome.
Well, i'm planing on doing something similar! I think a lot of the time, they are boring, drag on and are usually pretty pointless. I think that if there is actually a point and a good gosh darn reason for the next children to have to go after that villain or whatever, and you write it well, it could possibly be a really good story!
Thanks for the feedback. It's only a concept at the moment and I have to make a real plot to it. I hope your second generation goes well too!
All i've gotten for the plot is that it's going to be a mystery and drama. The mystery being the kids don't know what happened to their parents, how Mr.Eves, the math teacher, is somehow connected to them and is constantly depressed and the mysterious books in Aunt Megan's house. Drama part, how Cedar (Placeholder name) is constantly bullied and called emo and how he can see their emotions and they cant.
That's really all, I'm still thinking of a possible villain.
I created a world where I have two series about entirely unrelated characters separated by hundreds of years. But the series that takes place hundreds of years before the one I'm writing currently has vast importance in my world's history, so it will definitely be referenced by my characters. I mostly did this not because I wanted to "continue the story," but because I'm lazy and don't want to worldbuild all over again.
2nd Generation hmmm…
Joseph Joestar is greatest Joestar. That is all…
Also, I'm doing a second generation series too, they're great if done well.
I’d say that in my case, I’d be better for me to do a prequel, but if it fits your story, do it!
@@jynandor Well, it's more of the second series in continuation of the first. It's still a concept.
