That’s a Trump problem, not an America problem.
That’s a Trump problem, not an America problem.
(Well, most other politicians are kinda terrible, too, but we don't have time to unpack all of that. Plus, where I live, racism is still very prominent, and people don't care enough for the youth, who are our future. We also live in a culture where we promote working yourself to the death, and it's tearing people apart. That's not to say it can't be fixed, but it's going to take a lot to change what the status quo is here. But Trump is an America problem, you know, being our government's figurehead and all. And who do you think put him into office? He didn't do it all by himself. Besides, there are a lot of very problematic things he promotes, and that, once again, affects America, and very much affects the culture where I live.)
Nicely said. I agree. Nonetheless, this is still the most free place I know of, which could be considered a sad statement, but we must be grateful.
Yeah, I'm definitely grateful, but we have a long way to go, too. Hopefully we can all play our part in making things better for everyone, even if only as individuals.

What about Northern Europe? Where pride is everywhere, there's little to no racism, speech rights and freedom of religion and press aren't infringed on

I agree.
Like with all of this.
America is better than a lot of places but we've still got a long way to go

Lucky you
Yeah, it would be pretty nice. I have enough to worry about without my parents complaining about how much my appointments cost.
Something only dawned on me a while ago, and that is the legal age differences between the UK and America.
Drinking: UK 18, US 21
Sex: UK 16, US 18
Driving: UK 17, US between 16 and 18 (Although I don't understand why, in South Dakota, you can get a learners permit at 14)
I'd just like to know why the legal ages for drinking and sex are higher in America than over here..
Idk
Oh fuck.. why did I do this..
Do what?
The drinking age in the US used to be 18, but it got raised because of fatalities related to drinking and driving in that age group, I believe. Although a lot of people still drink behind closed doors, and it just leads to worse problems because it's illegal. Hell, I had a friend (19 years old, 18 at the time) who was hospitalized last year because he got blackout drunk, but no one was around to stop him from drinking too much. It's become kind of secretive and dangerous, so I don't even know what to think on the topic anymore.
So, out of curiosity, I searched up how many school shootings have happened in the US..
^ This is the very first thing to come up..

I like the way you think!

There are so many.
It's heartbreaking…

There is evil creeping into those places. I doubt freedom of religion is as wide as you think. The moral core of those places is fading fast. And without that, the world crumbles. In all that I have seen, anywhere that proclaims Tolerance is intolerant to any who disagree with them.
Have you watched the video? (directed to Shuri)
Yeah, it's really scary. I have a friend whose school had a legit bomb threat. Mine had a shooting threat (which turned out to just be a rumor, but it was scary). It's so commonplace these days. And every time it really happens, people forget like a week later.
"This year, by 19 September - the 263rd day of the year - there had been 302 mass shootings in the US, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
If the current trend continues, 2019 is set to be the first year since 2016 with an average of more than one mass shooting a day."
I say have armed guards. That’s what they do in Paris, with all the terrorist attacks. This isn’t that different.

What evil do you mean 'evil'?
Also, how exactly is the moral core fading fast?
Besudes they don't proclaim tolerance, and they definitely don't silence anyone
There's no infringement on those rights
Even if there's evil there, we surely have it too.
Or
We could do what Switzerland does.
Y'know the country thst hasn't had a mass shooting since 2001, and all that
Not gonna lie gun culture in America sucks, and so do the laws
