I feel you. I was one point below getting an A on my Greek myth test. I think I would have gotten it if the professor hadn't put the weapon of Aphrodite as sex. Kind of pissed me off.

Oof. I love mythology! I have a database of it in my head!

@Becfromthedead group

But why…? A "weapon"?
Also I got a C on this exam… she gave us 6 more points, so it bumped me up to a low B, but if this is any predictor for future more difficult exams, it's not good.

I used to be super into myths. Greek especially. And I'm proud because I loved it before it was cool. Percy Jackson)

Oof same. I'm actually low-key pulling names from Greek mythology to name several of my characters too. (Basically, depending on the region said character lives in, they get names from different cultures. I've only pulled from Greek, Roman, and Norse so far though…)

Same.

I normally build the character around the name and the name is the foundation for the character. But recently I changed Aria to Arenna and the name fits much better. Especially with how she has evolved as a person.

@Becfromthedead group

I've only changed character names a few times… I just don't feel comfortable doing so for the most part. With one character, I switched here first name to her last name (partially because she had a brother whom the last name fit really well, and is an example of one of those that became even more meaningful as time progressed). Then I've changed minor character names, but mostly, once I've named them, I get attached.

All my characters are Mary Sue/Gary Stus I created years ago that I'm trying to fix, but I named them all badly with a random Japanese name generator and so now they need new names but I'm so… SO attached to the old ones that I don't know what to do about it

My cringy 6th grade OCs have all just sorta evolved as I have. All of mine are from the Star Wars fandom lol. If anyone’s interested, I’d love to share them with y’all!

My protag started as a self insert. I am ashamed to admit I only figured his personality a week ago. And it was modeled around traits from myself. insert minor anguish

It's okay, I only realized a week ago that Mika, a background character, is way better written than my main protagonist

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

stressing because my children feel so under developed.

Akira is seriously the most Mary Sue character ever created, what the heck have I done, there are more holes in my plot than swiss cheese, what the panke-ki
