Does anyone else really like Shakespeare? I love Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which I’m currently in an adaptation of. I’m also currently reading Much Ado About Nothing.

I have high respect for Shakespeare.
The opposite of William Shakespeare is…
Wouldiwas Shookspeared
The two Shakespeare roles I’ve had were Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (which I’m the most proud of because I beat all of the boys going out for the part) and Laertes in Sock Puppet Hamlet.
Incorrect Shakespeare quotes are hilarious!!!
My personal favorites:
Puck: is playing the flute
Oberon: Do you take requests?
Puck: Sure!
Oberon: Stop.
And
Quince: I love how car commercials always say ‘real people, not actors’, because I also agree that actors are not real people.
or simply,
Murderer: "what, you egg!
stabbing him
Young fry of treachery!"
Queue Something Rotten! to play in the background
Oh… God I HATE Shakespeare!
That's right I said it.
"No!"
"I do I hate Shakespeare!"
"Why?"
(Song Change.)
"Because it's a musical, a musical!"
I love Shakespeare & Something Rotten! I have a book with the complete works of William Shakespeare. And I enjoy Romeo & Juliet as well as Macbeth.
I love how a lot of Shakespeare's humor is still applicable today. It's rare to find something that stays fun
It's basically a bunch of dick jokes and Shakespeare throwing shade and my English teacher and I both find it hilarious when people say they're 'serious' works of art when really it was the turn of the century trashy playwright.
@RedEeveestar It is, though. His humor is just humor today with different diction.
Oh wait I just realized how that might've sounded. Yes, I was agreeing with you.
Don’t ever forget:
“Villain, I have done thy mother.”
YES FINALLY SOMEONE FINDS IT HILARIOUS
I laughed so hard throughout the entirety of Romeo and Juliet. But I will admit, no matter how melodramatic the end, I was a bit depressed. Even though I knew what was coming…
I just love how he has that ONE character in it who's like "why is everyone around me so dramatic my god." And how Romeo was first introduced fawning and crying over a girl who… was not Juliet. And then he saw that 13 year old girl Juliet and was like "other girl who?" The one wise friend was just -_-
Sorry, I ranted.
Just finished A Midsummer Night's Dream for school
Just had my first show for A Midsummer Night’s Midterm for school. I’m playing Oberon.
Cool! I am so disappointed we aren't performing it though. We just read it for English 1 class and then did projects on the Elizabethan Era and I wrote a love sonnet. Which was pretty enjoyable, but still, wish we could act out the play.
I’m reading Much Ado About Nothing and Benedick and Beatrice remind me so much of Han and Leia.
