How are you guys?
My nose is a little congested and my voice is faltering but otherwise I’m good. It snowed earlier.
Oh. I see.
I can’t wait until next monday because that’s when the next meeting for my comic club is! :3
At least I have something to look forward to on mondays now….
That’s fun!
Sounds awesome!
Yeah….
We did this one exercise where we came up with the conflict first and then the resolution….
And filled in other stuff like the twist and the setup….
So now we can’t make excuses that we can’t make a story.
Oh! Actually that's really wise!
Yup.
Right now we have to do character sketches and some kind of storyline doodle type thing for the next meeting. But there’s all sorts of strange tricks and things that our “instructor” tells us that are really simple.
Like how in the resolution, there needs to be some kind of satisfaction that puts an end to the conflict that’s represented in the story. Like the worst things to do is either have the entire world blow up and everything ends abruptly or to have the character wake up from the story dream thing and act as if they weren’t affected by it at all. That’s what I remember anyways.
But that’s more the story aspect of it.
For drawing, this one guy said “Cartoons should be made with 90% work and 10% love, but only the love should show.” Meaning that if you’re going to do a comic, make a character that you love drawing or enjoy drawing.
Because if you do what you love, you don’t work a day in your life.
Mhm! Sounds cool!
SO….. yeah.
That’s all we’re really doing right now, anyways
Oh. Well Comics are awesome.
YEah.
Maybe I’ll actually follow through this time :’D
I'm right here to cheer you on Tiramisu! You got this.
