nO IT DOESN'T IT IS AN AMAZING GIFT FROM THE LIVING GOD EAT YOUR VEGGIES DON'T DO DRUGS YAAAAAAAH
jk yeah it sucks
School sucks; education doesn't. I hate the school system and everything about it, but will gladly sit in front of a computer screen and learn things all day!
I wish we could just plug into the matrix and download info. Love learning hate school. Though I'm homeschooled so can't say much
Please watch this video😁 it's very true (and funny)
Good point breer (can I call you that), I agree.
Yo Genesis I was homeschooled too. I think I came out a'ight.
Haha yeah
Pretty much all studies agree that the American school system is broken and pitiful.
Everyone says that Standardized Testing is stupid.
And the school system's response is, essentially, "So you want…more test?"
omfg yes "So you guys want more . . . .HERE'S Fcking more test!." and I'm like " . . . f** * *** okay I'm okay. I'll fail but okay.
Education is great, and attempting to get hundreds of children with very different brains to learn the same way is not great.
Personally, I hated homework as a kid, so I never turned it in. My grades were awful because of that, but I had great test scores.
Well all of this is part of the reason my mom decided to homeschool me… but that's not an option for everyone and I wish we could find a solution to the bad public school system. FIRST STEP: KICK OUT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
ha, no that's a bad idea. The federal government does a lot more than control the public schooling system. What we really need to do is a study of how online schools and public schools compare.
No I didn't mean getting rid of the Federal Government altogether, I meant kick them out of the education system. Their being involved in that in the first place is unconstitutional anyway, and they're overlapping power with the States and local governments.
True!!!
Would you know why the federal government controls schools?
come on guys school is amazing. I'm a nerd and proud of it
It started small, just by Congress passing a law about agricultural colleges or something. Then during the Civil War era, they started passing more and more laws, until before we knew it, the fed gov had control over the education system. Giving power to the gov always starts out small, and it's really hard to take the power away once they've got it.
Masterkey, how is government regulation of the school system unconstitutional? Could you cite the amendment on that?
Wow this conversation got so much deeper than it started out as.
Okay so I'm just going to say I love learning and I'm pretty sure all of you do, (Whether you admit it or not,) But I am also going to say 'Let's agree to disagree with the education system because it honestly sucks…' :D Anyway, that's all i am going to say before I have a full-on panic attack about it
Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress (the legislative branch) lots of different powers, mostly about money, international relations, one regulated militia, and making federal tribunals. None of it lets them regulate the education system. But they passed laws on it anyway. The executive branch (President) only has power as the chief of the military and enforcement of the laws that Congress passes. The judicial branch (Supreme Court) only has power to make sure the laws Congress creates are constitutional. None of that involves education.
The Tenth Amendment specifically says that everything the Constitution does not mention as a power of the Fed gov, like education, goes under the authority of the States.
ikr, Alice XD
thanks, but I actually love school it's just I rather learn things I care about and not about things that won't even help me in the long wrong.
