Anyone have any theories? About anything?
My theory Jack the Ripper was a butcher (or something of the sort) and maybe the reason he went after prostitute women was because in Germany there was a satanic movement that turned women’s uteruses into candles and burned them at their rituals as some sacred passage or rite.
Sooooo maybe he sold the organs he collected??? Or maybe not?
Just a theory that’s probably not true but fun to think about.
(Imma just appear out of nowhere…)
I mean, Jack the Ripper wise, I do agree there's a good change of him being a butcher but also the clasic doctor theory. As other victorian era related murders, there's the one of Burke and Hare, is interesting how they got away with killing people and selling their bodies until of course, they were cought
(haha you good you good)
I freaking love Burke and Hare stories. It's so interesting! Like the guy they sold the bodies too didn't seem to even care where they came from!!!
Like daaannnggg
Ahhh they mentioned that in one of the podcasts I listen to and I don't remember if they said they were doing it in the next episode or not even though it's already up because I'm so behind
I mean, if you ignore morals and being a decent human being that was rather clever

Burkeley Square still gets me man. That stuff freaky as heck. But it’s so fun to hear!!!
Hi I'm just gonna follow this chat because I love this kind of stuff. I might have some paranormal/serial killer stuff to talk about later as well
I mean… I got a long list of paranormal stuff that I have experienced… It´s gonna take a while and this is gonna be a long post so… Anyone is free to just ignore this (this is on cronological order, btw)
^ Those are crazy omg!
I've only had one paranormal experience that very fittingly happened while I was on a ghost walk last year with my friend. Basically, what it was was a guide bringing us around an older area and telling us about some ghost sightings and a little bit about who the people were before they were ghosts. We were close to the end of the tour and our guide was telling us about some ghost sightings when I heard a child giggling. Everyone on the tour was around 16+ so it wasn't anyone from our group. I looked around to see if there were any young kids nearby (which would have been weird in itself because it was almost 10pm on a Wednesday). I didn't see anything and was ready to brush it off, but then my friend whispered to me "did you hear that too?"
Later on, our guide was telling us the last few stories. Earlier in the tour we had visited a graveyard and our guide had pointed out the grave of a 4 year old boy, whose ghost was quite active. Our guide was telling us a story about these a kid who had seen the ghost of this boy. I don't really remember the exact details of the story but the ghost was playing with this kid, and later when he was telling someone (his parents I think) about it, they asked him if the kid knew the name of this boy that he had been playing with. And the kid said, "No, he mostly just laughed."
So yeah, I think that ghost was the same one that my friend and I heard.
Now that´s a ghost story, I don´t know what would I do if I was in that situation. Here in El Salvador we got something sort of close, the Guirola Hourse, that´s pretty much the official haunted house of the country, people do tours and what not. For some context, back in the militaristic day there were 14 families that were really powerful and important, the Guirolas were one, people have rumors of them making rituals to get powers and ghost sightings of people who lived there, there´s even a rumor of them having a deformed son on the basement (you know, the usual stuff) here´s the only article I could find on english: https://federicostories.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-guirolas-family.html
I'm not someone who experiences paranormal activity at all although I do remember seeing shadows at the edges of my vision when I was younger but I was very imaginative so who knows
When I was little I had a friend who was really into this stuff like me but she actually had a lot of experiences. I remember her telling me about a time when she and her family was in the living room when she saw someone down the corridor and go into a room or something. They all searched the house and found no one. They were all in the living room too.
Mostly I just tell and hear typical fictional horror stories because not much happens to me
Question: What got you guys into this stuff? Like, a book, show, something that happened to you, a certain case?
For me, the Dyatlov pass case was sort of my gateway into paranormal stuff (and weirdly, true crime as well). I heard about it on tumblr, was super intrigued and started looking into it more. I started watching videos about it on Youtube and eventually started watching videos about other cases that were showing up in my recommended section. I was kind of more interested in the weird, unexplainable stuff but eventually stuff about unsolved murders and serial killers started showing up and I started watching those as well.
I always found it interesting, but then I had a few of my own experiences and watched Buzzfeed Unsolved
and I was all in

What's Berkeley Square? I haven't heard of it… I'll do some research
Hey, I'm in the mood to binge some sp00ky stuff. Anyone got any favorite paranormal videos?

I like to think that it was a random paranormal related show they used to broadcast in the national channels (I can´t remember the name) but I kind of forgot about it, I guess what really kicked things off was the photo thingy and the paranormal experiences I had after that, I mean, I had a little thing for horror and creepypastas when I was 10 or 11 and I guess that developed on an interest on actual real life crimes and scary stories and what not.

Is a house on England that is said to be haunted, people had gone mad and seeing weird creatures and some weird death had happened there
Dyatlov Pass is one of my favourites. I was going to mention that here sometime.
I don’t remember when, actually. My dad likes horror movies, so a lot of his likes influenced me liking that sort of stuff, and my best friend likes those sorts of things too, so combined with me liking to research stuff, it was a perfect match.

This is the first thing that came to mind
Random little thing: My family isn´t a big fan of the paranormal stuff and truth be told I´m not as into it as it may sound (I have experiences and what not but I would never try to talk to paranormal entities or look for them) but dude, I had this book about myths and legends and let me tell you, we got some weird thing on salvadorian folklore, like the classical hitchhiker stories, but we got some twist on them, like La Descarnada, a woman who´s skin fells and turns into pieces of flesh, there´s this one (may apply to other parts of Central America, haven´t done lots of research on it) where some women put their sould on containers and turned into animals to terrorize the locals and El Tabudo, a guy with weird feet and knees who appears on the lakes, it can help you to catch lots of fishes or turn you into one (acording to the version I read)
