Basically, any strange questions? Topics not suitable for even Deadpool (If you didn't get that reference, be glad you didn't. Deadpool is kinda…. eh… ahem…. nevermind.)? Well, feel free to discuss them here! This is mainly for the general "I need this for a novel" sort of thing, but if you need to vent, feel free.
Question that I have:
I SWEAR THIS IS FOR MY NOVEL: How much would it take for an overdose on drugs (any)?
lemme know if it has watcha need
I want to know what different injuries feel like. But I'm squeamish so I don't want to google them and get pictures.
a'ight hit me up with specifics, here or pm, and i gotchu
One of my characters is obsessed with explosives, and he even makes his own. Just one problem, I can’t google how to make a bomb without both the regular and c a r r o t fbi coming for me. So I need to come up with a way to make explosives. It doesn’t have to be realistic, heck, even baking soda and vinegar with a pinch of magical powers would work, I just need something that’ll make a chemical reaction that could explode with the help of magic and stuff.
Eh, just put "I'm a writer" in the search bar afterwards and you should be fine.

These are probably going to sound very strange, but I have a couple questions, both for different parts of my novel. First, if someone was shot in the shoulder, how long would the recovery process be? Second, how long do most sedatives (injected, not ingested) take to wear off? I've researched, but haven't been able to find much…
okay so for the first one, it depends on the severity, the (if any) nerve damage, and then you factor in physical therapy to get the appendage working somewhat normally again https://www.epainassist.com/personal-injury/gunshot-wound/shoulder-trauma try this

Bullet wounds are 6 weeks I think but in a joint like the shoulder, maybe 8 weeks.

Ok thanks I had the same question.
Also if someone is shot in the shoulder and their shoulder is also dislocated, do you need to wait until the bullet wound is healed to relocate it?
Once again this is something I think I remember. Probably dead wrong.
I'm just gonna get on this thread if it's not dead…
In general, I want to be able to describe what different injuries feel like too, but I'm not sure where to find these things. I look stuff up all the time, but it's only so helpful.
Specifically right now, I want to be able to describe broken bones, what it feels like to be whipped, and what it feels like to be stabbed. I'm sure at least one person here has at least broken a bone and can tell me what that's like. I mean, I broke a toe once, but it was very minor and doesn't really tell me anything.
I've broken bones and been stabbed. Never been whipped though.
im sure i could get someone to whip me if i tried hard enough
If you don't mind, could you describe either of those for me? If you don't want to post it here because you think it might be too much, you can always just PM.
