I'm writing out Purgatory (as in the afterlife) and I need a bunch of neutral items to put in it. Purgatory is just an endless, Cincinnati-like city. I need a bunch of objects and creatures who aren't necessarily negative or positive.

For a creature, maybe do a potted plant that… walks.
I can only think in terms of comedy…
What about a large, blind, insectoid creature with soft, gel-like feelers that gently brush travelers on street corners? No one is certain why is is there, or what it is doing, but everyone is acutely aware that this thing's name is Ned.
