Do you listen to music while writing? I do, but I can't concentration long enough to get a lot down with it. Share some songs or types of music you listen to while writing or that just sets you in the mood. I'm in big need of some new songs.

It depends on the sort of scene I'm writing. Like I couldn't listen to really quiet calming music during a climax or action scene. I usually listen to the cast recordings of musical theatre shows as it allows me to focus and not get distracted changing songs, but it's also enjoyable. Musicals are great. You should listen to them. Especially relatively unknown ones, they're great and there's less of a chance of them having awful fandoms.

I listen to a ton of music while writing, and pretty much any other time (like when I'm doing art and stuff). But I have to agree with @fruitbatsandearlgrey , it does depend on the scene. If I had the time I'd make mood playlists for different scenes in a story (sad for sad, upbeat for happy, etc.).
